Dammit..I know the title "Soldier Boy" and a few lines, but I don't know the artists...I do know it was one of those girl groups from the 50's and 60's:

Soldier Boy, oh my little Soldier Boy
I'll be true to you

You were my first love
And you'll be my last love
I will never make you blue
I'll be true to you

I'll surf the net and see if I can find it for you.

Soldier Boy is by The Shirelles.

Not really soldier themed, but R. Kelly, "The World's Greatest" may have the lyrical theme you are looking for.

Thanks gang.....ohh yeah Destiny Child...and that has the marching.. 😉

Ill check the others out when I download them..Thanks again...

any more suggestions?

🙂

If you're into oldtime music, the Andrews Sister did "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy"...All my uncles and my dad were WWII vets, so I heard that one alot growing up.

the song that terrified the germans 2 times. prob prevented the soviets from attacking us. the one that terrifide the japaneese. the song. that terrified the world. once pear harbor was bombed. and the american industrial might got going to the old time song :

over there

Over There

Johnnie, get your gun,
Get your gun, get your gun,
Take it on the run,
On the run, on the run.
Hear them calling, you and me,
Every son of liberty.
Hurry right away,
No delay, go today,
Make your daddy glad
To have had such a lad.
Tell your sweetheart not to pine,
To be proud her boy's in line.
(chorus sung twice)

Johnnie, get your gun,
Get your gun, get your gun,
Johnnie show the Hun
Who's a son of a gun.
Hoist the flag and let her fly,
Yankee Doodle do or die.
Pack your little kit,
Show your grit, do your bit.
Yankee to the ranks,
From the towns and the tanks.
Make your mother proud of you,
And the old Red, White and Blue.
(chorus sung twice)

Chorus
Over there, over there,
Send the word, send the word over there -
That the Yanks are coming,
The Yanks are coming,
The drums rum-tumming
Ev'rywhere.
So prepare, say a pray'r,
Send the word, send the word to beware.
We'll be over, we're coming over,
And we won't come back till it's over (< --- this line is about iraq llloll )
Over there.

Over there Over there. cuase the yanks are coming the yanks are coming

And We wont Stop fighting till the Fighting is done

Over there.
