Hopefully the audio stream will be better. I'm still getting no response from Stream audio so i'm still listening to Party953 and Mega103.5 for the old school freestyle!

PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE!!!

GUYS, LISTEN TO WHAT ER AND CLUBGIRL ARE SAYING!!!!

THIS IS JUST THE EARTHQUAKE BEFORE THE TIDALWAVE HITS THE COAST!!!!!

THEY ARE GIVING US A HINT OF WHAT THE FORCE WILL BE. ALTHOUGH MIAMI LISTENERS ARE CRAVING F/S,,IT'S HARD TO PLAY IT 24/7 OR EVEN 12/7. GIVE IT TIME FOR THE PD TO LOCATE FULL TIME HERE AND GET A CREW GOING.

I GOT A STRONG FEELING THIS WILL BE THE YEAR FOR US TO BE HEARD...

ALSO, 99jam's focus is hip/hop and they will not cross the line. Meaning take the listeners away. Also, there are other radio stations in the same building that market different sound of music for all to pick.

TRUST ME....PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE 🙂

XOXO

You guys, it is very important that you let them know you want freestyle. There are too many people out there who want to run trance 24/7, or house 24/7, or whatever. Some dance stations in the past have ignored freestyle because they had programmers playing what they want to hear, or what the latest trend is. Some play all trance, or whatever. Check out Energy in Chicago (who has tweaked their format a bit as of late), or the old Groove 103 in Los Angeles. Speaking of trends, programmers have to be careful of that garbage, because many jump on it too soon just cause they heard about it. Like I remember reading an article in a music magazine a few years ago on drum & bass/jungle and how huge it was going be in the U.S. in no time. Now where the #$@! is it? On our old dance station we did a couple surveys on what your favorite music was. Our listeners voted freestyle, house, latin house, trance, eurodance, which all got MANY more votes than music like hip hop and r&b. But drum & bass / jungle was even below hip hop! Programmers be careful. Sure trance is hot right now. But balance it out and mix things up or you'll soon be reduced to advertisers from Tylenol to Aspirin to get rid of all the headaches listeners will be getting. Trust me there is a freestyle audience out there, most of these PD's must be going to raves to see what's hot, but I just went to a New Year's party in Sacramento and "In My Eyes" by Stevie B and "When I Hear Music" by Debbie Deb packed the dance floor much more than songs like Darude's "Sandstorm". It depends on what club your at and the age group. In this club the girls were screaming when Stevie B came on and
this was a slightly older crowd 21+ but generally 21-30 years old, and dance stations often aime for the female 18-34 age group, and trust me, if that many people that age in Sacramento remember freestyle, Miami will have tons of ears ready for some freestyle.
Now about Party 93.1 in Miami I can't comment yet since they are so new, their new PD is on his way there and we'll see if things change. Apparently from what I heard he is the former 95.3 Party (Orlando) PD and also used to work in Miami so he should know the history well (I hope all that info is correct since it was just something I heard).

Hey Brianmei

I was reading your profile...you wrote: "Used to work at the old KLNA Power 105.5 Sacramento (we played lots of freestyle!) "

Question 4-U: Did you work with Mahumad Morreta?..he used to work her in Miami power96...he kinda left becuz of KID Curry...but mahumad was super cool and listened to the peeps...

Please let me know.

Thanks

I've got some clout with TMI..

AS SOME OF YOU KNOW, I WORK FOR THE FLORIDA GRAND OPERA. OUR COMPANY WAS TMI'S PRIMARY ADVERTISER BEFORE THEY SWITCHED FORMATS. BECAUSE OF THE THOUSANDS & THOUSANDS OF $$$ THAT OUR COMPANY HAS SPENT ADVERTISIMG WITH WTMI, I CAN BUILD A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE MEW MANAGEMENT BASED ON THE RELATIOMSHIP WE ALREADY HAVE WITH COX BROADCASTING & TMI...WHICH SPANS OVER 20 YEARS.

MY POINT BEING IS THAT WE HAVE SOMETHING TO BUILD ON. I THINK WE ALL NEED TO CONTACT THE NEW P.D. & INFORM HIM OR HER OF THE HISTORY BETWEEN FLORIDA GRAND OPERA & WTMI, EXPLAIN HOW PASSIONATE WE ARE ABOUT OUR MUSIC, & SUGGEST WAYS TO IMPROVE THE ROTATION..MOST IMPORTANTLY, WE NEED TO ASSURE THEM THAT WE WILL SPEND $$$$$ ON THEIR ADVERTISERS & THAT WE'RE WILLING TO HELP PROMOTE THE STATION.

I THINK WE SHOULD DO THIS SOON!!!!!

FINALLY THE STATION BUT WE NEED TO CONQUER ON THE FREESTYLE SIDE CUZ ALL I HEAR IS TRANCE THAT THEY PLAY AND THEY DONT EVEN HAVE COMMERCIALS

BRIAN: YES, THE PD IS PHIL MICHALES FROM ORLANDO'S 953 PARTY... HE IS A COOL GUY.. HE WILL MAKE SOMETHING OUT OF THIS NEW STATION FOR SURE...

BRIAN, FSVET: I WAS ASKING ABOUT MOHAMMED MORETTA A FEW WEEKS AGO HERE ON THE SITE & NO ONE REPLIED... HOW FUNNY

the website is www.party931.com

can you please email the station to improve the audio feed on the net? Now, it sucks cause it sounds like an AM radio! Windows media player would be great so please email them! (email the vp/general manager in the "contact us" section). Aside from that, it sounds really good.

This hour I heard Mon-a-q "stay with me", Freestyle Project "music for my soul" and Rockell "in a dream" in between Ian Van Dahl, Dee Dee and Eiffel 65. wow!

Good job!
