Power 96 probably still plays more freestyle than Party 93.1. very misleading when they say "dance and freestyle". great to have a dance station, but dissappointed in the lack of freestyle on that station. maybe another station that will once again avoid freestyle. sad.

im not sure when you are listening but ive herd johnny O stevie B rockell and some others in the station.
 
In the last 2 days that i've listen to the station on and off i've only heard 2 freestyle songs by lil suzy and stevie b.

perhaps they still don't have their full collection of freestyle music -it seems that they still don't have any dj's yet - let's give it some time - they are promoting themselves as a freestyle/dance station and u do hear freestyle during their promos.

fellow freestylers in miami - call the station and let them know how pleased you are with the station and give them thanks for supporting freestyle music.
 
I heard you guys say that they advertise themselves as "Miami's Dance and Freestyle Station," but when I listened via the web, none of their jingles/ ID's said anything about freestyle, just "Miami's Dance Station." However, I have noticed that in their ID's they do play freestyle instrumentals. Also, have any of noticed that a lot of their playlist is dance recurrents? They don't play as much new new stuff. Nevertheless, it's a lot better than radio where I live. I would love a station like this in Philly.
 
Until the stream audio for Wtmi is fixed, i'm listening to 953Party Orlando. They don't play a lot of freestyle, but the play a good amount of dance music and little hiphop!!

THATS HOW WKTU HERE IN NEW YORK LAUNCHED AND NOW ALL THEY DO IS PLAY CRAP.
 
Yeah, but when KTU launched, they still played pop and a lot of disco, even though the majority was dance. With this station, EVERY song is dance- 100%. It has the music and playlist of Energy and the image of Party 95.3. I think it'll stay 100% dance. Hopefully, it'll play more freestyle though.
 
I AM GLAD THAT THIS STATION NOW EXISTS HERE IN SO. FLA.. BUT, IT IS GOING TO BE HARD FOR THEM TO LAST B/C THEY HAVE COMPETITION (POWER & Y100). SO THE LISTENERS GOT TO CALL & GET THEIR VOICE OUT... BUT, I'M SURE THEY'LL LAST B/C THEY ARE OWNED BY COX RADIO, WHO ALSO OWNS HERE IN MIAMI 99 JAMZ & HOT 105... TWO OF THE TOP ADULT STATIONS IN THE MARKET.. FOR THOSE WHO MENTIONED 953 PARTY IN ORLANDO, COX ALSO OWNS 953 PARTY.. THEREFORE ,THERE IS THE CONNECTION & SIMILARITY.. PERSONALLY, I THINK THERE IS MORE OF A CONNECTION W/ 953 PARTY THAT I CANT SAY RIGHT NOW.

You guys ive also herd that they still gettine their music libary together. And yes they are listening to us..... Lets give it some time and see how they continue. So far its better then any other station ive herd in a very very long time...

yea i was listenin a few days ago and only heard like 1 or 2 freestyle tracks, mostly dance/trance stuff .. hopefully it turns out better than 95.3 in orlando. when they first started out, they played maddd freestyle! even had a full hour of old school lunch mix ... but now they dont play as much even though they still do support it, the old school lunch mix now only has 30min of freestyle while the other 30min is old school hip hop. so hopefully they'll stick to the freestyle!!! 🙂
 
The audio for Miami's Mega103.5 is back. You can hear some serious old school freestyle on that station. I just heard Will To Power-Raining(or something like that)

Being that I work with a radio station in Dallas, let me drop some behind the scenes knowledge.
Radio program directors believe in perception. That means that they believe listeners are stupid and baasically believe whatever the station tells them. Such as this new Miami station. I listened to it and like many others that have posted I only heard 2 freestyle songs in 2hours. I didn't catch their positioning statement. Which according to several people is "Miami's Dance Station". If they say that they are Miami's Freestyle and Dance station, then they can play 2 freestyle songs an hour/ or 2 freestyle songs a day. the perception by most listeners will be that they are "the Freestyle and Dance" station. So you need to call and be on their ass to play atleast 2 or 3 freestyle songs an hour. Bottomline don't believe everything you hear, they will play what makes the station money. And right now thats all the station cares about. Any body that would like the email on why this station switched to see that it was based on advertsing dollars hit me on my email here or at stonecoldsynbad@yahoo.com I will forward the email. Or Jack, if you want I forward it to you and you can post it here so everybody can see it.

thats cool i live in miami ive heard the station but all they play is trance and rave music i havent heard any freestyle i hope they start bumping some freestyle music soon....
 
I just got back from Miami and was listening to the new radio station down there and they sound just like 95.3 party here in orlando. They sound exactly the same as 95.3 except they do not play hip-hop on that station. The station sounded good but they hardly played any freestyle what-so-ever!!! I was listening to it 3 hours straight and only heard one freestyle song played. Whst kind of crap is that?!! It was a good station but if they are gonna say that they play freestyle then why don't they play it more often then!
