Back when that song, So Excited by Luca came out, i don't know why there wasn't more hype about it. THat song is so amazing. I could dance to it all day.

I think it was one of the best newer freestyle songs, and note...i said newer, not new, cause it's like maybe a year old.

DOes anyone agree or am i alone on this?

Thanks MyBabyGS3! I knew someone out there was as obsessed as i was (and am)about that song. Oh...oh...has anyone seen what LUCA looks like. Is he sexy? His voice sounds nice.

Yeah. I have no respect for EC 'cause half the girls that go dancing there go to my highschool. When i'm watching it, i'm like, "Oh, hey, there's kim. And melissa. And Alison." Yeah, basically, watching EC reminds me of school, and you know that i watch tv to take away my sorrows. 😀
 
hehe, "So Excited" is from 1994!!! Luca no longer sings freestyle. He was signed briefly to Tycoon records of Montreal and had a r&b single released two years ago that flopped "Groovin'". Now a washed up vocalist, he recorded the track with Ti Amo Records but always thought he would end up on the pop/r&b stardom. He should have stuck to his instantly created fan base with "So Excited"; he was featured nationwide on tv and the cd single and 12" was a top10 hit in Canada and a marginal hit overseas as well.

the hi-nrg mixes for 'SO EXCITED' on the b side of the 12" and cd single are a waste of disc space and ruin the original freestyle song, which luckily was a monster nationwide canadian hit for TiAmo/Quality Music canada Inc. No wonder the cheap production and instrumentation of the hi nrg mix (both in extended and edit versions) did not get play anywhere in canada; thank god!
 
The hi nrg mix belongs in the walmart top 40 section then. It is a shame that kind of trashy instrumentation is pressed on disc, but we have our flaws too in Canada, and are not ashamed to admit it! Thank god we had a huge nationwide hit with the original version that is pure freestyle.
 
Man, I just listened to the Hi-NRG mix again and I all I have to say is, I'd like to see someone do a better Hi-NRG mix of the same song. The vocals of "So Excited" don't really lend themself to a hi-nrg/eurodance song. Nevertheless this mix was done fairly decently. The production is not *great* but it wasn't horrible either. I am a freestyle fan,so, of course the Freestyle mix is far better in my opinion, but to say the Hi-NRG mix of "So Excited" belongs with Destiny's Child and Backstreet Boys is not right..
