Tonight's SmackDown! taping from Kurt Angle's hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. opened with a video montage building up the WWE title match scheduled for the main-event tonight. The video package showed Brock Lesnar arriving to the building, as well as Kurt Angle.

Team Angle vs. Rey Mysterio & Billy Kidman

Said to be a very solid match. Ran about 6 minutes or so with Team Angle getting the win via pinfall over Rey Mysterio and Billy Kidman.

Winners via pinfall - Team Angle

Rikishi vs. Chuck Palumbo

Said to have been a pretty sloppy match. Nunzio and Johnny Stamboli were in Palumbo's corner as usual. The FBI tried getting involved, but Eddie Guerrero and Chavo Guerrero Jr. came out to even up the sides. Rikishi got the pinfall over Palumbo.

Winner via pinfall - Rikishi

Backstage, Nathan Jones is shown sitting alone as if he were in jail. Undertaker finds him and tells him they need to get ready to watch the next match so they can do their homework for their match at WrestleMania. They basically gave off the impression that it's Nathan Jones and Undertaker vs. Big Show and A-Train at WrestleMania, since Show and Train are in a tag-match up next that 'Taker and Jones are going to "scout".

A-Train & Big Show vs. Funaki & Tajiri

A-Train and Big Show got the win over Funaki and Tajiri. Said to be a pretty boring match, but didn't run too long so it wasn't that bad.

Winners via pinfall - A-Train & Big Show

WWE did a spinoff of a "Fan AXXESS" type event as they showed a video package of last week's steel cage match between Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman. Immediately after, they went cut to outside the building where fans were being asked who they thought would win tonight during the WWE title match between Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar. Despite being in Angle's hometown, the majority were said to be for Lesnar.

Backstage, Brian Kendrick did an angle where he was trying to bribe Stephanie McMahon into giving him a job in WWE even though he lost his chance when he didn't last 5 minutes with Kurt Angle. He gave Stephanie flowers, told her he drove all the way from his hometown in Washington, and his dream is to perform at WrestleMania in his home state of Washington (where it will be this year).

Sean O'Haire approached Dawn Marie backstage and convinced her that since tonight is Girls Gone Wild (technically tonight when the show airs - Thursday) she should go to the ring and show SmackDown! just how wild a girl she can be.

We go to the ring where Dawn Marie comes out, faces Tazz and Michael Cole and simply takes her top right off. Crowd went nuts, and Tazz and Cole seemed to enjoy it as well.

Rhyno & Chris Benoit vs. Eddie Guerrero & Chavo Guerrero Jr.

This match is to determine the number one contenders to the WWE Tag-Team championships. The winning team will get a shot at the champions Team Angle at WrestleMania. Team Angle spoiled the fun when the interfered and laid both teams out causing a disqualification.

Backstage, Stephanie McMahon ordered Team Angle to defend their WWE Tag-Team titles against both Rhyno & Chris Benoit AND Eddie Guerrero & Chavo Guerrero Jr. at WrestleMania 19 since they screwed with the number one contender's match moments ago. Wonder where they're headed with Brock Lesnar then? This should be interesting!

Video mongtage for Hulk Hogan aired. Vince McMahon came out and said again how he created Hulkamania and will destroy it at WrestleMania. He said Hogan turned his back on him and tried to put him out of business with the man he hated most, Ted Turner. He said next week on SmackDown! there will be an official contract signing between McMahon and Hogan for their "fight" at WrestleMania.

Matt Hardy vs. Brian Kendrick

Brian Kendrick did the gimmick where he dressed like the local sports team mascot as he came out dressed like a big Penguin. They're in Pittsburgh, hockey team, Pittsburgh Penguins. Get it? Matt Hardy was challenging anyone who wanted a non-title match against "the Cruiserweight champ" as he will no longer defend his coveted title until WrestleMania against Rey Mysterio. Kendrick won the bout when Matt Hardy left the ring.

Winner via countout - Brian Kendrick

Backstage, Team Angle is pumping Kurt Angle up for his upcoming WWE title defense against Brock Lesnar. They say he's in his hometown, so he has nothing to worry about as far as fan-support is concerned. Angle says Pittsburgh always disrespects him when he comes home. He says he's glad though, cause it shows him how smart and lucky he was to finally get out of this town. OUCH! He says name one winner who came out of this dump and Mr. Rogers doesn't count because he's dead.

Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle (WWE Title)

Jesus, Lesnar hits the F-5 like right at the very beginning of the match but refuses to pin Angle. Team Angle comes out to interfere, Angle pops up and pins Lesnar easily. That was quick!

During the replay, it was shown that the Angle that rolled up Lesnar for the pin was his brother! Eric Angle was the man who pinned Lesnar to give his brother Kurt the win. Lesnar immediately starts beating up Eric Angle.
