willie...when i heard of that disturbing news that you had left the music scene i thought you needed your own thread cuz you deserve that respect bro...im sure im not the only one who did not know of this badd news....so people...please put down your thoughts and leave willie a lil somthing here saying what you think about him and his impact on freestyle and how much he will be missed.....sorta like a good luck and we will miss ya, thank you card all in one bro!!

Willie your announcement of your departure from the freestyle scene comes as a very sad thing for me to read. I wish you the very best and thank you for your contributions. 14 years is a long time!!!!

You continued to bring out the best in the genre and gave everyone a measuring stick to work with. You will be missed.

I do hope your new direction is still in music because it would be even more of a shame if it's not!.

All the best of luck in whatever you decide to do.

thats a shame...i was really feeling all ur music...i mean u had great comps...the best songs were ur songs!!!! i was really looking forward to the solo album i heard rumors about from you!!! hopefully u will reconsider...i know freestyle fans arent the most apreciative ones...but do it for the music willie!!!!

I had the pleasure of meeting this gentlemen several times . I can remeber back in 96 the first time I met him was in the Idolmaker Studios In Ct when he was recording No matter What, For the artistik Parade series I was like wow .......

Through the years hes brought us the sounds we all have grown to love, Even though we never got to work together I have the ultimate respect for Wil as a Person , Producer and Artist. Ive showm my face to many of his artist release partys and hes always taken a moment to say hello and be kind.

The man is the most underarted New School producer of this genre.... Thats my opinion

Im sure he will succeed in whatever he may do. Keep in touch Wil

It would have been nice if me and Amante were able to get a copy of the Artistik Parade that our songs are on. Thanks for looking out for us. It's ok though, Ashley came through for me. Olga and Wendy were right.

Willie, im still shocked at hearing this news. You have got to be one of the biggest supporters of freestyle out there and to see it go like this, well....im just heartbroken. You work your ass off to give us great music, always changing it to make it sound more appealing to the biggest critics and still have a fantastic sound to it. I hope i still get to see hang out with you again. I know we see each other wherever we go, and we are bound to see eachother again. we were expecting you at BLIS last week. hope to see you there at the next show. where ever your dreams take you, i know it will be the right choice! Well thats the thing I have been doing freestyle for the love all these years. its hard to keep doing something you are not succeeding in and progressing in. Freestyle meant so much to me. But when I see sales from 20,000 going to a mere 500 or less i know i cant keep doing it. Radio virtually never gave me any play, (with the exceptions of some) distributors did nothing but ripp me off and never pay me. Stores started ordering less and less and wanted more discounts. I just couldnt afford to do it anymore. plus I have no partners. try running a record label, recording studio, production company and being a recording artist all at the same time. plus holding down a job to support the family. I just couldnt keep doing that. I dont know why things turned out like this. I always thought freestyle was a beautiful music. But to be honest I got really tired of the haters....... the hipocrits........ the fans not going out there to buy the cds....... the stores not ordering....... radio not even listening to the cds or giving the songs a chance...... also I felt I helped alot of artists out there and alot were unappreciative. Blaming me for their songs not doing well or not selling. I did the best I could do. I dont regret the career in music. I had a blast. I wish it would have never ended. But I guess everything does come to an end. As far as my album goes. Its done. I did promise a release for years now. so I will release a limited amount of copies to be sold in very little stores and on my website before I close it down. i'd say about 500 copies. so that should cover all the true hard core fans. and If I need more then I'll make another 500. thanks to everyone for all the love. and to Chris.. you do nothing but complain on here. sorry i didnt get the chance to send you guys the cds. but do me a favor and shut your damn mouth already. I am tired of your ass... If you still felt bothered for not revieving your cds you could have called me or come by to pick up the cds. but no you have to keep complaining on the board. And dont try to put other people's names in it. most of the artists got their cds from me directly. very few got it in the mail. the post office is not close by so i didnt get to send everyone their copies. Again I apologize but Your not making me look bad or anything by doing this. but nice try.....

Even When I Came Down To Ur Place That Day,Ray Was On The Paperwork And U Had An Artist Singing In The Boothe While A Fed Ex Guy Was Giving U A Package. That Was A Constant Routine I Know. And For Those That Dont Know? If There Was A Man Who Pushed Freestyle To The Max? It Was Willie. You Only Can Do So Much With What Ur Given.
Were Not All Millionaires To Go Out And Pay Off Stations To Play The Stuff As Others Do And We Cant All Throw Up Fancy Flyers And Posters Of Artists And Releases To Let Them Know What Is Comming Out and So Forth.
For A Person Who Was Independent From The Begining. And Left Independant? U Did Ur All Homeboy And I For 1 Saw That.

I tried to E-Mail you on numerous occasions and got no answer. It’s too bad that I had to come to the board to get a reply. It’s funny Christine Turner lives down the block and you had time to mail her CD’s. Maybe if I were female it would be different. Considering you got one of the biggest tracks of 2000 for nothing, I think a CD for myself and the artist was not much to ask for. Hell, we didn’t even ask you to promote our songs. It’s ok though, Ashley mailed me a copy. If there were more people like her, there might still be something left of the freestyle industry.

It sounds like you are a little bitter about your failed freestyle career. Maybe if you hadn’t lost Marisol, Wendy, and Olga you could have had a hit.

I don’t have try to make you look bad, you did that yourself with the pitiful Artistik 2k series. Very amatuer sounding. Don’t feel bad though, I though my own tracks stunk as well. We all improve as time passes though………...well at least some of us do.

As far as shutting my mouth, COME SHUT IT FOR ME!
