Taezee if you really like the music then it’s a piece of cake learning to dance it. Go for it, once you learn Salsa you’re never going to want to dance anything else. There’s no other dance better than Salsa, because of the rythm and the turns. First of all you HAVE to REALLY LIKE the music.

And it’s true when I use to go dancing I’d never notice if the guy was ugly or not I just noticed if he really showed off his partner, then I wanted to dance with him. I have a friend who’s a salsa dancer and the grils would just stand in line at any place just to dance with him. You’re really a dancer (for a guy) if you learn to show-off the girl on the dance floor.

As for merengue, it’s much simpler because of the rythm. I’d suggest you start off with Salsa first. Most people learn Merengue first and then salsa (I did), but the rythm is sooooo different that you get lost easily.

My advice, learn to looove the music. If you REALLY like salsa and you can get the beats first (3 COUNT, 2 COUNT, CLAVE) then it should be easy.

Taz : G.I is absolutly right once you learn the basic you go on from there and you are correct that the girls will just line up to dance with you. I'm not the that good looking but i kick ass on the dance con SALSA. one i go to club you usually ask a girl to go dance they might say no, but once they see you dance and you get the girls to smile on the dance floor. you be danceing the night alway. some of the clubs offer free lesson at one time I knew that the Copa was doing this I'm not sure if the do it know.

okay ma and thanks.. i love salsa always have its second only to my freestyle..and im not too bad i get by dancing basic salsa but im going to learn the "moves" you know everytime you go to a salsa club or dance party theres the one guy who got "the moves"
 
I had a cousin who showed me many moves when I was younger. And do be afraid of making even the slightest mistake. When you dance with confidence it shows lovely. Most of the moves are just repititious.
