Lol..kenny u are mad funny bro..case is closed. the title of the thread is "Safire/Cynthia success"....and there having success with the freestyle version.
 
The version we hear on the radio is the one on the album. It is a remake of a New Edition song. and as you can see they had better luck with it. As far as artist not leaving the freestyle industry: SaFire also left for a while to do her Spanish music. but came back to do one more album for her fans. People it's ok, if they out and venture into new territory and explore whether you like it or not, these things will happen.

India, Marc Anthony, Safire, George Lamond, Chrissy Ieece, Brenda K Starr, Lizzette Melendez, and many others have ventured off and tried their luck in other genre's ..some of them made it and some haven't jsut yet, and some of them still sing their freestyle songs when performing. I wish both these beautiful ladies all the luck in the world because they both deserve it. and if any one them decides to go down another path, I will support them, because they will still have the same voice.

quadosh, you missed the point. when the girls went into the studio for this song, thier intentions WERE NOT FREESTYLE. they were TOP 40. someone came in an made a freestyle mix. thats the point i am making. if someone wants to take TKA'S songs and mix them into freestyle (they have plenty of songs that would sound PHAT as freestyle) they can do the same and have an equal success as SAFIRE & CYNTHIA.

first, i would like to thank everyone whose supporting the new single and requesting it to radio. we are truly excited ktu has added the song to regular rotation as well as other stations playing it in their mix shows. just to clarify some key points, the version safire and i performed at club ohm is the same version you hear on ktu. we actually performed the extended version. there are no other mixes out their. when we received the demo from tony moran who produced the track, it was exactly the way you hear on the radio, just with our vocal style. as for me freestyle will always be a part of me. i remember hearing tka, cover girls and safire on the radio and i loved the music then and i still love it now. i would never abandon freestyle i just feel as artist we need to take pride in our work and strive for the best song whether it's an original or remake.. hopefully i've answered some questions. once again i do thank you for supporting the new single. no words can describe how excited and happy safire and i are.. thank you fan/ freestyle lovers..

I couldn't agree with you more. That's what I'm sayin!! I will support TKA, for example, regardless of what genre their music is categorized as because like you said of Cynthia and Safire.... they still have the same voice! I could never get away from Kayel's voice! lol. 😉 It's still TKA. Their skills, voices and hearts are still there.

People need to decide if they want to be supporters of the artists or groups, or of just freestyle music.

I just got to listen to the performance from OHM's and it indeed is the radio version but the vocals are what threw me off. my apoligies to CYNTHIA & SA-FIRE!!

im sorry but i just downlowded and listened to the original.."can you stand the rain"..and that moved me..the remake from safire/cynthia is nice but the original..theres no comparisson...new edition definetly had there shit together on this song you can actually feel thier lyrics on this song...sadly the state of modern "freestyle" is just takin the original and trying to feed it to us in this 2001 version and that goes for any "new " release....yall need to start being creative!!!!I dare say after listening to the original after a couple of times that you actually disrespect the original artist..again as i have stated many times before create and not remake !!!!!i love you safire and cynthia but the original you dont even come close!!!!!go back to the sutdio and please...new material..thank you.....
