The CF crew had a great time yesterday at CLUB OHMS with the wonderful hospitality of ANGEL. the club attracted a great number of fans and the entire night's music consisted of sweet blends of music from house to rap to freestyle.
NELSON "FFWD" CRUZ was given the oppurtuniy to announce the nights guests. Cynthia was greeted with a tremendous welcome. Cynthia gave extra special thnaks to SAFIRE for helping her in t he industry and she let the audience know that they were in small group together prior to thier musical stardom. she sang some of her hits such as "change on me", "endless nights" and "dreamboy/dreamgirl". the show paused for a few minutes to allow Nelson enough time to prepare for SA-FIRES show.
SA-FIRE was greeted with as much love and emotions just as CYNTHIA previously received. she also gave thanks to Cynthia. SA-FIRE went on stage and performed remixxed versions of her hits as "love is on her mind", "let me be the one" and the breathtaking "dont break my heart" 2001.
Cynthia than got on stage with SA-FIRE and began to do thier newest duet "cant you stand the rain". the song was so refeshing and it combined the sweet sounds of house and freestyle. not the mention the sultry voices of SA-FIRE and CYNTHIA were given the chance to let us hear their supurb vocals and show us that they put thier 100% into a song that will indeed, like all thier other songs, become instant hits!! for those of you whom didnt show up.......you should be ashamed!
 
I would of gone but I couldn't because Im not over 18 to go to a club. If I was I would of been the first one there.😀

Can you stand the rain reminded me of old school with a house vibe to it.

As far as it being a hit...the vocals were tight & I hope it makes it but freestyle fans have been cheap lately, in my opinion.

As for me, I will buy it w/o a doubt.
 
Their Performances were GREAT!!!

I've been a true fan of Cynthia for the longest - I had a perfect view of seeing Cynthia and SaFire perform and I must say the ladies can sing (their vocals so clear and strong). It brought me back mad memories when Cynthia sang "Endless Nights" and when SaFire sang "Don't Break my Heart" (the remix) - OMG I was ready to jump up and dance - that is slammin'.

As for their duo "can you stand the rain" - I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - I told SaFire that I can relate to the song and can't wait to purchase it. I wish them much success on their new project.

Thank you for the shout outs. It was a great pleasure meeting Liz_Torres, Sexyangel (OMG I've forgotten names - sorry - but I haven't forgotten faces though) 😛

It was also great seeing again my girls Nyasia and Spiral - "The Latina Ruff Riders" (CBR600F4I) - Kenny, Diane, SamK & Friend, Anthony (FreestyleLover - thanks for the VIP card), Dayer & friend, Renee & friend (can I have a copy of the group picture), LLCBoricua & Friend, and if I forgotten someone - I apologize but I'm bad with remembering names. 😀

Take care everyone and hope to see you all at the CF Beach Party (another great event where we'll have lots of funs and creating great memories).
 
Cynthia & Safire were great on Friday night. I had a great time watching all the people singing and dancing to freestyle before the performances. I found it especially amusing watching people do the same freestyle dance moves from the 80s. That brought back a lot of memories for me of 1018!

Wish I would've known who was who from the board, and I also wish the place was packed! Angel worked really hard to promote the event and it should have attracted more people. Spread the word!!

Hey liz what's up I got home at 430. ugh!

We all had a blast and yes next time you guys go to ohms dont order the quesadilla's it was ALL onions and leaves and mulch and just a few bitty shreds of chicken and a baby spoon of sour cream. No wonder they got 2 stars on their cuisine. Let me stop I havent tried everything I might get something different next time. Oh man I was hot after a while my jacket smelled like dog fur. LOL. IIILLLLL!

Hey Ivan. I don't know how early you got to Ohm but a lot of the ClubFreestyle crew was sitting on a large table in the corner of the dining area between 10:30 and 11:30. A bunch of us ate dinner together. We also all got together at the front of the club for a group photograph. Hopefully it will come out nice and Jack will post it on the site.

oh yea.......we got to PENN STATION at 3:30 and the next train wasnt coming till 5:10!!! luckliy, i bumped into a friend that was taking an alternate train home so we went with him and he drove us to my car. im driving next time!!

yes, i was VERY HOT in my jacket......they closed the coat check for the summer!!! ugh!!! i was stuck with the jacket all night!

Wow....what a show! Safire and Cynthia definitly haven't lost their touch. I was with a friend that had never heard freestyle before, and by the end of the show..she was asking me too introduce her to Safire cause she fell in Love with her...and on Tuesday when the single came out, she had bought it. Safire's album is definitly going to blow up...with songs like "Can you stand the rain"..and remixes like "Don't Break My Heart", how could it not....
