Vardan Kushnir, notorious for sending spam to each and every citizen of Russia who appeared to have an e-mail, was found dead in his Moscow apartment on Sunday, Interfax reported Monday. He died after suffering repeated blows to the head.

Kushnir, 35, headed the English learning centers the Center for American English, the New York English Centre and the Centre for Spoken English, all known to have aggressive Internet advertising policies in which millions of e-mails were sent every day.

In the past angry Internet users have targeted the American English centre by publishing the Center’s telephone numbers anywhere on the Web to provoke telephone calls. The Center’s telephone was advertised as a contact number for cheap sex services, or bargain real estate sales.

Another attack involved hundreds of people making phone calls to the American English Center and sending it numerous e-mails back, but Vardan Kushnir remained sure of his right to spam, saying it was what e-mails were for.

Under Russian law, spamming is not considered illegal, although lawmakers are working on legal projects that could protect Russian Internet users like they do in Europe and the U.S.

Who do you think is in charge or writes the programs?? Definatly not some super computer.

A simple 486DX66 could send over 100,000 Spam Emails in under 4 min. Doesn't take much of a machine to do the work. Just a crafty operator.

Hopefully the spammer that got iced was the one sending me those annoying "watch two lesbian horses get double dildoed in the ass by old men in bustiers" type of emails.

Heheheehe....No that guy is still alive. I think this guy was responsible for the "My family was killed in Africa when the big Coops occured. Since then my Father had stashed away $1,000,000 dollars but cannot get to it without the aid of an american with an american bank account to transfer the funds to. If you help, I will give you 15% of the earnings." Spam letter.

Nevertheless.....when I get those letters, I send a response back stating, "15%?? That's it? Do you know how much taxes they will take from that? I dont think so my starving big belly buddy with a bone through his nose being chased by a lion on crack. Oh no no no. My NIGGA, you need to up the ante a little, Lets say you give me 65% plus pay the costs of bank fee's plus (10%), transaction fee's (5%). Lets not forget that the bank manager will need to be greesed on this also. He's gonna want at least 15% of my cut which I think should come from you. Leaving you with 5% of the total amount. What do you say? Is it a deal?"

Usually I get a response saying "we cant do it, or they say no no no." But it sure is fun!!!

ROTF!! I get those too...and the ones that say that they are representatives of a rich uncle or cousin of mine that's recently deceased, and all the money will be turned over to the government if I didn't claim it. What a crock!
