Well, someone had passed me some rather sad news a while ago concerning "CD WAREHOUSE". they said the chain had closed down completly. well, i just ran into one of the stores today. i asked the owner and he said it was completly "false". they just changed their name to "CD ISLAND". i thought we lost another great, used cd chain!!

BTW.........A source from TDK had told me TOWER RECORDS is looking to close shop up!
 
I hear ya on that, Nessa! i used to love TOWER when the store first opend up way back in 95 in my town. every cd, cassette and record (yes, they had a small section for djs) were 50% for the 1st 3 days!
 
i cant believe Sam Goodys closed they had a decent selection of freestyle.
 
SAM GOODY closed? the one in my town (yes, my town has SAM GOODY as well as a TOWER RECORDS!) is still open but i also heard it was just changing names to FYE (they also own COCONUTS)
 
Tower Records has prices ridiculously high on their CDs!!!

they were horrible they never had anything and they were highly price .
 
all cd stores are overpriced. the only decent place i went to is THE WIZ but now thier defunct.

I choose to go to the smaller "mom and pop" stores because they tend to be a bit cheaper too and they at least make an effort to help you when you are looking for a certaind cd. they usually take the time to "special order" it for you.

theres a cd store in cedahurst control music they have everything and they make u feel so comfortable and they order what u want anything they also have alot of freestyle cds and 12" they rule!!!! theyre soo cool
