Honestly, I hate to knock, & the MAJORITY of all Freestyle artists ARE VERY friendly & down to earth, so we WONT need a "nicest thread" since most of them are, BUT, there are a few that are just on a different level or something.

I personally, & MANY peeps on & off CF as well, have had the harshest, rudest, & snottiest treament from one of my fav artists on many occasions.
That artist being: Lisette Melendez.
It's sad becuz I am still a fan & enjoy her music, but her attitude really SUX!!!
& She denied an autograph!
Plzz...who's she? - MADONNA???
& Not even MADONNA did that!!!!

& I cant beleive Taylor Dayne did that to KENNY GUIDO & fans. Maybe she wasnt feeling well, since it WAS originally planned for a meet & greet, but still, there are many artists out there that would not have done that regardless.
Besides that, everyone else has been really nice!
What are some of you guys' experiences???

SUP COMPANY B!~
rudest artist to me back in the 88 was stevie b, he didn't want to give me an autograph lol...he goes to me "not right now kid"....i almost cried LOLOL.
at one of the most recent shows i got shady attitude from lisette melendez, but everyone else has been mad cool..
company b i will be in miami soon
by the way avenue d will be performing this weekend down there at revolver @soho lounge, go check them out and support.

well as for me personally the artists that i met apart from the club scene that i saw them in a public place both were in the airport to be exact were johnny o whom i met at jfk and k7 at laguardia(when he was doin his thing as a rapper)

let me tell u these 2 guys are so cool really down to earth i didnt get no bad vibe from them although i didnt ask them for an autograph or anything i just say whats up to them shook their hands and that was it

johnny o
when i saw him at jfk i call him out cuz i saw him from a distance and i think he was with wifey at the time but i said, "yo johnnyyyyyy" and he turn around smile and said "hey whats up man" now if johnny wanted to he could of have just kept on walkin and not said a damn word to me but he didnt do that he was humble and kind and this is the good thing i remember from him

K7
when i saw him at laguardia airport he was with his backup dancers and singers i was like oh shit k7 my nikka whats up man? he shook my hand and we talk for a few cuz i wanted to take advantage of the moment so i ask him some questions and again i say k7 was cool with me i didnt ask for a pic or autograph but atleast i got to talk with the brother atleast he gave me that u know? and even his boys were cool also they all didnt act conceited or nothing

but damn company and bboy ya surprise me, lisette and stevie b was like that with ya two? so hard to believe i didnt think she had an attitude or something or that stevie didnt had time to give a fan an autograph or take a pic together though im a fan of these two i dont know how i would feel if that were to happen to me

Yo, what's up fellas?

Definitely, Lisette Melendez is one crabby lady. Just by looking at her, you can tell she has an attitude problem.

I've spoken to her a few times at some of the past shows. I was even standing outside the Roxy one night when Cynthia, Brenda, and Lisette were all walking out with their husbands/boyfriends and I said "Goodnight" to Brenda and Cynthia, and totally ignored Lisette, who seem to be too involved with herself.

I ain't down with that shit. She's not better that anyone else. As a matter of fact, no one is.

I definitely don't need to kiss any "celebrity" ass. Just ignore them, it works 10 times better.

Noel, has a very shallow personality. I was talking to him at the bar once and he didn't have much to say, but the bartender, when she looked at the tip he gave her, was dying to say something to him.

All of the other artists that I've come across have given me the time of day, but I honestly have to say that Brenda and India are such beautiful people inside and out.

My love goes to them.

i've also heard horror stories about lisette melendez and corina -

i've never experienced anything with these 2 myself, but i've heard negative things about these two.

YEAP-I heard the same about Lissette M, I have not experience any myself either...I'm still a big fan of her MUSIC..

oh AND STEVIE B -Olll BOY..just to say that he rip me off 20 bucks for a DVD that did not WORK!!!I e-mailed him 20000000 times and never replied once and it is not like I was being rude about it..I was being VERY NICE and also I'm still a BIG FAN OF HIS MUSIC!

I respect them all as Artists and thank them for all their MUSIC 😉

WHEN WORKING THE CLUBS IN THE LATE 80'S AND EARLY 90'S I HAD THE CHANCE TO WORK WITH AND MEET ALOT OF ARTIST/S AND I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEM, THEN AGAIN I WAS RUNNING THE SOUND BOARDS SO THEY WERE NICE TO ME AND ALWAYS GAVE ME A THANKS WHEN THEY WERE DONE THE SHOWS AND ENJOYED HOW I MADE THEM SOUND.... AND THEY NEVER HAD MUSIC STOP OR CUTOFF WHEN I WAS AROUND AND THEY LIKED THAT MOST AND IF SOMEONE FORGOT THE SHOW TAPE OR IF IT GOT DAMAGED BEFORE THE SHOW, I ALWAYS HAD THEIR RECORDS ON HAND TO PERFORM TOO AND THIS MADE THEM VERY COMFORTABLE AND FRIENDLY AROUND ME. I GUESS YOU COULD SAY I WAS LUCKY SINCE I DIDN'T GET THAT TREATMENT FROM ANY OF THEM.....

Yeah, I myself have had kool experiences with the rest of the artists, Brenda, Gioia, Sweet Sensation, India, Marc, Sandeé, Ashley, China Dolls, Avenue D., etc,etc,etc... They have all been great!
They bring like a: "it's ok to chill & talk with me" atmosphere.🙂
Although I never met in person, u can tell Safire & Nyasia & the rest are just as friendly & down-to-earth-kool. 🙂

But that Lisette is off da chain wit dat attitude!!! ESTA PASA!!!!

😛

MAYBE LISETTE SHOULD AN INTERVIEW ON THIS SITE AND SHED SOME LIGHT ON
THIS TOPIC???????SOME TYPES OF QUESTIONS TO ASK HER ARE THE FOLLOWING:
1)WHY DO YOU HAVE AN ATTITUDE?SOME PEOPLE THINK YOU HAVE ONE?
2)WHO COINED THE TERM FREESTYLE MUSIC?
3)WHO COINED THE TERM NEW SCHOOL? OLD SCHOOL?
4)WHY DON'T YOU JOIN THE SITE?
5)WHY DO YOU USE THE SAME BEATS FOR EVERY SONG?
6)DO YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN FREESTYLE'S COMEBACK?

When i met Stevie 2 months ago, he was playing at a club in San Jose, he let 12 girls on stage to dance with him! He was so nice!

HEHEHE...:whistle

Thank you Company B, we really are, we don't think we are better than anyone else in life, we don't act it,(as you can see, or some peeps here on the board can tell you).

When I first started in MicMac, I remember we were doing a blood drive at Emerald City to raise money, and Johnny O came to me and gave me a huge hug and said welcome, Cynthia said HI, Judy said Hi, Tiana, sat there and looked me up and down, as if I had no business there,LOL, Whateva gringa...lolol anyway. I have met a few peeps who when meeting for the first time, they have a habit of looking at me like "yeah" "can I help you" then I say "hi nice to meet you i'm Nyasia" and I keep it moving. Just like some fans think they should be rude to you because they prefer another artist, that cracks me up LMAO!

You ain't kidding on that one..It also, surprises me that many
fans will run into Artists on the street & "pretend" they don't
know who they are, and even have "attitude" as if they don't care,
when clearly, they were cheering them on at the last event..If you
think the Artist didn't notice you in the crowd, & didn't recognize
you on the street, you're wrong, they notice all the time..If you're
a fan and you really want to say something to them, do it, if they're
rude to you, then its their loss, but at least you tried & now u know
who they are!

On another note, I had an encounter not to long ago w/an artist,
I've admired, have met several times, & they know who i roll
with..had just been cool w/me weeks prior..but this one night i
happenned to be on a night out w/another artist, when we ran into
this artist, she was trying to get his attention, we soon approached
her & i right away said "hi, how are you"..and she stared hard at me,
and even rolled her eyes with an attitude..and said, "i'm sorry have
we met?"...i was like umm yeah..the artist I was with was so offended,
and bothered by her attitude, that he took my arm and said "lets go
somewhere else"..we ended up having a great evening in the vip room.

As for Lisette, I've met her many times, and she was very sweet, then
of course, i was with k7..other than that, i've never really stopped
to talk with her, so i really woudn't know..

Well, ive been fortunate to meet alot of nice people in the industry. I heard alot of bad stuffa bout Lissette but she has never acted that way towards me. but i guess people can change once you turn your back.

as for Taylor Dayne, I was very mad I didnt get to meet and interview her. But once I heard her say "I FEEL MUCH SAFER IN EUROPE THAN HERE" made me want to scream out "F*CK YOU!"

I felt like telling her to get a one way ticket to Europe.
As for Lissette Melendez when I saw her backstage this year she seemed alright and didn't appear to have an attitude, I did keep my distance since she does have a reputation to be B***H.
