You know I wasnt in the show last night, but I really wish I was, it has been a while that I have not been in a freestyle event like that, I used to go to Roseland a lot, when Little "Loui" Vega used to spin, and they always had mad performances. But I most point out that I ve seen freestyle concerts in the NYC area and in Boston back in good old days of freestyle, and I must say that some of the audience in NYC are sometimes not that nice, reason I say this is because of the few threads regarding the K7 incident and according to other freestyle peeps they were doing it to Safire, I recall when Judy would go on stage and people would say some really mean stuff, I dont want to sound like a whiner or a little kid, do you think that is cool that you are up on stage, to have people say things and put you down, let me tell you I give these artist a lot of props for going up there and do their thing, not to mention if you are real fan, you would not be doing this kinda stuff, I personally feel why then go to see the concert, if you are going to criticize, every little thing about the artist. And I want clarify, that I am not talking about the small talk regarding the way they dress or the tacky dancers, I for one admit, that there is some tackiness involved, but I just feel that some people take it to the next level, where they could be really cold hearted, and I just think that its not cool, but you cant control the way people act. I just wanted to make my point.

Well said!! Don't go if you can't say anything nice. Many wonder why Freestyle don't get no support from the mainstream. If you the fans don't support the artist, how will radio or Big lables support it.

I hear that budman. Fortunatly our Freestyle Artists
are Tuff as nails to the punks & sweet as sugar to
their fans. They know what it's all about.

One of the best part of Freestyle Show that
we love is the non-violence. Every Freestyle
party / show that I have been too (which is allot)
was the greatest time I have ever had.

In reality when we get all together its a time
of forgiveness and a time to just get loose
and enjoy the show!

If you new to Freestyle and reading this thread..
Don't think that this is what it's about.. It's not.
Very rare. Yout just happen to be reading
a thread that focuses on it.
Something which I don't like to see.

Enjoy the Art Form of Freestyle.
When you see people on that stage Tearing it
up- When you get the chills of being in the Freestyle
enviorment.. Hangin with the greatest peeps on
the face of this earth -

That's What It's All About.

youre absolutely right jack - when i go to a freestyle event im comfortable to smile at people n stuff lol i know it sounds corny but freestyle music lovers are good natured and a more mature crowd. Probably since the music was more popular in the past so the crowd is a little older. You will have your occasional fight here and there cuz poeple get drunk and act stupid but that guy that was disrespecting had no excuse and had no place there. K7 handled it very well - mad props to him - increese da pees 🙂

Jack

I couldnt have said it better my self.... No matter if you are new or old on the freestyle scene. Enjoy the art of freestyle music. Make sure you talk to the artists. Ive had the pleasure of becoming close friends with some artists and let me say what class act and special each one of they are. Please make sure you enjoy yourself and dont focus on the negativity of certain dum dums.

I have to agree...

with you Budman. I have personally witnessed what you are talking about. A LONG time ago, I saw Judy Torres perform at Flushing Meadows Park in Queens, NYC. People were being very disrespectful and mean to her. It got me really pissed off. But she held herself down and I must admit if it was me I think I would have broke down. So I have to give mad props to Judy for that. That was only one incident however. But I must admit, the guilty ones are the guys. Men can be very judgemental and mean, especially when they have a few drinks in them.
