Ok, here's a question for you all.....


Who here has seen a married couple, and they are not wearing their wedding rings.....or maybe the woman does, and the guy doesn't......or vice versa.

What do you think of that?

I bring it up becase I was talking to a friend (also gay) who said that he's not into engagement rings. In a gay relationship, both guys wear one.

All I could think of was, "If I was engaged to someone, that ring would sooo be on my finger. I'd be showing it off and saying....'Someone wanted me!'"

Opinions???
 
I wear mine especially since he got it upgraded for me LOL Sortija 2.0

I Wear My Engagement Ring All The Time And I Dont Mind It. My Soon To Be Hubby Does Not Jewlery Period. He Doesnt Even Wear A Watch. So I Know Already That When It Comes To The Wedding, Its Going To Be Tuff. Cause He Doesnt Like Rings Either!
 
Not that "it" (wearing a ring or not) matters to people... (like if a woman sees a man with a ring on, she should automatically think, ok, he's off limits, but they don't do that now a days).

The ring is a symbol of two peoples commitment to each other. I think both parties should wear their rings.
 
Alot of people in my job do that not where there rings.. Some of the excuses are I lost it or it dont fit.

My so-called "SIGNIFICANT OTHER" was like that too, so I never stressed when he didn't wear his. Now neither of us do....... :realsad
 
:dgrin i never took mine off. aparently my exhubby did at work. if i ever got engaged again i would wear it like a prized possesion. next time around my man better wear his ring or else.
 
i ALWAYS wear my rings (engagement & wedding). i don't think there's any good reason not to wear it. my hubby also always wears his. if he took it off, we would have a serious problem. 😉
 
When I was engaged, I always wore my ring. Didn't get married, so never got that.

But in the future, I would definitely wear my engagement and wedding ring. I know a male friend of mine he doesn't wear his. His excuse was cause of the job he did, but now he's no longer at the job, and I don't know what his excuse is now. But in general, I think if your engaged or married then you should wear the rings. My parents who have been married almost 28 years both wear their rings, and along with my mom's wedding ring, she still wears her engagement ring.
 
I know happily married couples that some wear the rings and some dont wear them. There is no difference between them.....they are all happily married because its not the ring that makes the marriage......it's the heart. But I have to ask, is an engagement in your near future??????? 🙂
 
no....I'm single....maybe in the distant future.....I just had a discussion with a friend who said he would not wear matching engagement rings. I was kinda surprised. That is something I had always looked forward to. Not for the ring, but to say that there was someone special in my life, who saw me the same way.
