I was going through some boxes at my parents' house this past weekend and came upon a box of cassette tapes that I recorded from the radio from 1990- 1995 and rediscovered, in a sense, my young years. My dad was in the military and we were stationed in Italy from 1988-1991. In 1990, we returned home to the Bronx to visit during the month of August and I remember recording Hot 97 and a few other radio stations. However, one night I must have set the tape recorder on "record" and it was on Hot 97 and it was pretty late. I was 13 years old at the time. Okay, so what I recorded, unintentionally, was India, live at the Palladium, with Glenn Friscia, singing "Right From The Start" and "Lover Who Rocks You All Night". !@#$%^& amazing tape!! This shit is classic and I'm about to dub it onto another tape so that I have a back-up 'cuz something like this is a truly rare, let alone hard to come by. Her voice sounds so great, as always. Anyhow, I have some great recordings from Emerald City, Palladium, etc. and some interesting Freestyle tracks that you hardly hear anymore. Anyone else have any "cool" things such as my casette collection?

My sister also has old Hot 97 tapes from Emerald City & The Palladium!! What great memories!
