anybodie know what happend to glen frisher
i djed beside him in key largo(forest hills swim club ) in th early 90s
havent heard of him in like 5 yrs
any info
 
From what I remember in the late 80's-early 90's, that guy had a monopoly on DJing in clubs. Every one of the "OUT Q YOUR CLUB AND CONCERT CALENDER" was "club so-and-so with Glen Friscia on Thursday, club so-and-so with Glen Friscia on Fridays...etc..." That guy was everywhere

Glenn Friscia was the man who would spin all of the new Freestyle every other Saturday night on the Hot97 Saturday Night Dance Party (he and Franco Iemello alternated every other week)...I remember the first time hearing "NOW & FOREVER" by Nyasia, "I HAVE DREAMS" by Eileen Flores and "TEARS OF TEARS" by Tonasia - Glenn would spin of the latest future Freestyle hits (at the time)...

Franco Iemello usually dedicated more of his time to spinning Freestyle, but he would play more of the already established hits...But - I do remember him playing "THE SEARCH" by Nas-T. Boyz, "WITHIN MY HEART" by Voyce, "WHY YOU WANNA HURT ME" by Arlene and "FOREVER AND A DAY" by TPE for the first time on NY radio as well...
 
If it wasn't for the Judy Torres house mix, I don't think I would've started mixxing House with freestyle accapellas. Thumbs Up!

Glenn Friscia is spinning at the China Club in the city on Fridays? I Love him!! I remember him form when Hot 97 was a real radio station!! (sorry) woke up on the wrong side of the bed today 🙁
