i know he probably confessed it being him.. but like since i didn't follow on the story, how did they prove it was him? not just someone who looks like him, or it's an edited copy.. maybe it's a stupid Q., but i found out about this here on CF, so i didn't see the vid.

first off she was 14 and he was 30
not excusing it...but i am 21, i remember what was going on when i was that age...now i know girls at that age who were having sex with men that were way older...and these men werent famous for sh*t...so if girls were chasing after normal guys, imagine what was going on in this situation...this is why i can not condemn the man...the girl was not a child, nor was she forced

so the man is not a molester or a pedophile

Toni, I can see where you are commin' from. I've been a fan of Madonna for years and with some of the stuff she's done, it seems I always have to defend her.

However, R. Kelly had sex with an underage girl, lower than the age of consent.

To go along with current headlines, how about that U.S. Marine who went to England to hook up with the 12 year old girl? He didn't kidnap her, and she went willingly, did that make it alright?

For a while, R Kelly was married to Alliyah, while she was underage, and her parents had the marriage anulled.

People who are in positions of power and have fame need to be more careful. They have soooo much to lose.

He should feel honored for having a fan like you to support him regardless of any criminal act he's done. 🙂

Not many fans are like you toni. :cool

Some fans when they find out that their favorite celebrity has done something God awful...they die out...regardless of any skillz they still have let it be acting singing etc. These people in the lime light set an example to society and some are not aware. How their message is sent across dozens of homes.

Aside from the sexual act, what I find disturbing is the fact that he felt it was alright to take advantage of someone so young. He abused his postion of power and fame to take something from a child. She may be an early teen, but the girl is still a child in certain ways.

To be honest, I don't have any of his records, but I love "I Belive I Can Fly" and "World's Greatest", and that won't change.

I think it's is again important to note that sexual predators cannot be cured, it has been proven in countless studies that they WILL re-offend. this guy will do it again if allowed to go free, and among pedophiles the esclation of the level of violence grows as his need to satisfy his twisted fantasies grows. the point is this, how long before he kills a little girl. the only solution is execution or life in prison.

keep him on the streets and sooner or later he'll start going for 8 year olds. oh and yes by legal definition she was a child crack open a book once in awhile.
 
I'M NOT TAKING SIDES HERE BUT A 14 YEAR OLD IN MY BOOK IS STILL VERY MUCH A CHILD. SOMETIMES THEIR PHYSICAL APPEARANCE MAY SAY OTHERWISE BUT MENTALLY THEY ARE STILL CHILDREN TRYING TO ACT LIKE ADULTS.
