secondly the man has a lot of money and is very famous...the girl who is in the video with him, was sparkles niece...sparkle was a singer who use to work with him and they had parted ways...so who is to say knowing he has a problem (marrying aliyah when she was 15) she puts this girl up to seducing him and records it, an obvious act of revenge, which he was being blackmailed for...thats a great aunt, huh

thirdly he is not even being charged with underage sex, he is being charged with child pornography...which the ages are diffrent...underage sex depending on state is 16-15 and under...and child pornography nation wide is 18 and under

You know with any topic people will have their own opinions...usually those opinions are totally opposite...this is already really old news...the R. Kelly jokes the MJ jokes the Kobe jokes (even though they just started) and other media personal jokes are old...and its not funny never was cuz you know with the Peterson jokes um your making jokes of someone who otherwise would have been an unknown hadn't he killed his wife and child...thats not something to laugh about...This thread was stating a simple point but of course the mere mention of R. Kelly people start bashing...wutever he did and does I don't agree with at all but the man is talented just like Kobe and MJ and a lot of the others people bash that is one fact that can't be disputed...just my opinions
 
I understand what you're saying these are all examples of horrible people who did terrible things. The reason we make jokes and laugh is well first of all not to go crazy in a world that is, and also these people did awful things they deserve to be laughed and get all the public humiliation they deserve. 1sxychica, I am one of those guilty of overdoing it, but I wanna know don't you laugh when dave letterman makes oj or scott peterson or kobe jokes??
 
i don't watch letterman.. i don't mind the jokes, trust me, sometimes i joke about these people too.. but this wasn't the original topic, u know what i'm saying? secondly, it would make people uncomfortable posting something like this again, since they already know what the result will be, and the last thing we want is for people to stop posting because they feel intimidated by people like you... now i know Toni is the old member here, so she knows how things are, but imagine this was a new member, i doubt they will ever post again, knowing the kind of feedback they'll get...

I understand what you're saying chica, but sickos like r kelly don't deserve to have someone post something positive or helping their career. gloryifing pedophiles is disgusting it is true that many of the posts are not "on topic" but many do not care where r kelly is playing next unless of course it's a correctional facility for the rest of his life. by the way did you know the rate of re-offending amongst pedophiles is upwards of 90% so I think it might be just a little bit important to include what he did in any convo regarding him.

you should really just keep it to urself...i shouldnt have to defend the man...however if i am posting a thread and all u can do is critize then i am going to have to do that...what he does in his private life is not my concern...why is it urs???
now if u feel so strongly against him then u should create other threads...or maybe go down to va and help investigators on his case, instead slinging sh*t from ur comp

no need to be rude here Toni....u stated ur opinion so did the others. yes this was taken off topic when ppl started bashing him and yes you support him, that's great for you. the rest of us don't feel the way you do, no one is attacking you personally so y get so upset? everyone, including myself now, apologized for it being taken off topic, but we (the few) who don't support just don't want to to read any positive things about him as u don't want to read negative things correct?
