I heard on the freestylefile show last weekend Ashley quit all those games.

First Id like to commend her on the song I think it mixes an Oldschool feel with a new sound keeping it intresting .

I really enjoy the lyrics

I also heard an edit mix and another song of hers mixed in.

My question is Why doesnt she and other new school acts Like Nick Colon , Alex , Nu Image , do more shows in the tri state area , I see shes does more traveling outside her area?

Why doensnt KTU or other stations give her and many new artsist a chance. ? Pay olla maybe ? Im not familiar with the industry ...

well here is what i think...

they dont give new school artists a chance because there is not enough demand for them. we have to keep calling, writing, going to ANY shows they do... without support from fans, and good record labels lol, no one will know these artists even exist!

why do u think the blis parties flopped? nobody went! poor turn-outs at shows discourages radio stations from wanting to play their music. not playing the music doesn't expose it to new and more people, therefore there's no demand. u get what i'm saying? we as fans really need to help these artists out. they're struggling and we're complaining. GO TO THE SHOWS!!!! 🙂

I honestly think the reason new school gets no attention is because it's just not good enough. It's just average, there's nothing special about it. I've heard a few online, and I can see why I can only hear them online. The last time a new artist in freestyle recieved pop & street status was Lisette. Why? Because her & Carlos did something that wasn't being done. They came up with a whole new sound (infusing hardcore hip-hop beats with disco organ chords and latinfreestyle keyboards) that would inspire a whole bunch of imitations and define a whole new sound for freestyle music. Until another new artist decides to try something different & dares to use some creativity, they will just get lost in the shuffle and we will be asking this same question.

That's why I prefer to just stick with the old school artists that continue to release stuff (Cynthia, George LaMond, Safire, TKA). They get "it", I know I will like what they put out. I don't know, maybe you gotta be from the old school to make good music.😕
