Will TKG's new cd be freestyle? Will it have any kind of freestyle in it whatsoever? And if not, then why are they being mentioned here?..... Is it because they are using their pasts as an excuse to advertise their non-freestyle material here?, Have no other place to advertise?, or They just wanted to let the freestyle fans know whats up with them lately?

Hey Orgntr1,

I was of the mind that with the success that TKA, K7 and George Lamond have had, that they have earned the right to Advertise here if they chose too. But I don't think they have to a certain extent, its been the users who visit the site that have been talking about this merger of TKA and Geoge Lamond. Also, If they do or don't have feestyle on there CD I am going to buy it because they are almost like family and if we want freestyle to exist we have to support them, plus it's probably going to be a damn good CD anyways. So I would say:

"tears may fall, tears may fall from your eyes" 🙂

Smile its a good thing

I think you sound frustrated and are just voicing your disapointment with our treasured freestyle artists when they choose not to do freestyle.I will have to say that persoanlly I love GL's Salsa and pop material, and K7'S street style.I will be getting their cd when it comes out because I think they're great artists regardless of what genre they do.I guess I have grown up with them and my taste is similiar to what they are doing now.

Now we can move it like this ahhhhh ahhhh ahhhhh :sbounce

hey...with all they have done for freestyle in the past, they dont have to do it anymore if they choose not to...like i said b4 anything kayel has done in my opinion has been great, freestyle or not..so i as well will be getting the cd!!!

I understand what Orgntr1 want to say, and I have to say that he is not completely wrong on this one. Mellow729, I remind you that in this particular section we are talking only about Freestyle music whatever the band.

The "problem" with TKA is that they don't want to say anything concerning the content of their upcoming album. Especially if the album will contain or not Freestyle songs...so! Instead of to share with us information, they are prefering to wait or hidding information for the moment. I respect this choice even if I don't share it. My 2 cents.

wow, this is funny stuff.

Everyone is entitled to there opinions. I am sure TKA and George will give us a hint soon? Like I said before, the fact that they are making an album is good enough for me.

TKA AND LAMOND MAKING AN ALBUM TOGETHER IS CRAZY ITS DEFINTLY GONNA BE A HOT ALBUM WITH ALOT OF HOT TRACKS IF NOT FREESTYLE TRACKS THAN DANCE TRACKS WIT SOME STREET FLAVOR IN THEM

I think peoples response to this very VALID thread demonstrates the real problem with freestyle. Everyone thinks its OK if freestyle stars choose to not do freestyle music anymore. THAT IS THE PROBLEM. How tolerant would hip hop headz be if Nas or Wu-Tang or 50 Cent abandoned hip hop. They would no longer buy their music, show them love on the internet, or go to the shows. Those artists would get straight lit up in the hip hop community and NO ONE would defend them. Rap fans begin to talk sh*t if the artist does too many r&b collaborations. That's one of the reasons why hip hop is king and freestyle is so worthless, it's own artists don't want to do it. For example, if TKA's forever album did not recieve the "group think" support that it did on this website, it would have recieved no support at all. TKA would have wound up completely destroying their careers by selling out freestyle music the way they did. Let's face it, besides those freestyle artists that have gone salsa/merengue, none of the ventures into English pop have been successful at all (Marc Anthony does not count as he wasn't as recognized for freestyle in his back up roles). It's kind of like having a mate who cheats on you. If you let them get away with it, it's gonna keep happening and y'all relationship will end up wack no matter what.

We will support TKA in whatever they do and we Welcome all of their
posts and messages to us. You labled it as Advertising... the only
advertising we have here are banners. We call it Information Direct
From The Source...and again its is Always welcomed....escpecially
considering all the Plugs TKA gives us at their shows. Shitt this was a distrurbing post, lol.

Originator - hang in there - lets see what the new album consists of.

dont get me wrong, i would love it if this tkg album is freestyle....completely love it cuz i know it will be hot...but if they do not do a freestyle record, us here at clubfreestyle arent just going to stop supporting them...if it werent for these acts freestyle wouldnt be as big as it was...not to take anything away from other great artists but tka and gl are no joke in this type of music...my though is that with all they have done already for freestyle, if they decide to do something else we cant hate on them....i hope it is freestyle i really do cuz this can only be good for it, but if its not, we cant turn our backs on them!!!!

That is not the reason why Freestyle is "worthless".Freestyle artists should not be blamed for that which was out of their hands. When NY,Philly,LA pulled freestyle from their playlists that is what killed our music on Radio, it still thrived in the underground. The big labels then proceeded to drop freestyle artists.Music goes through cycles and in the early 90's the Althernative sound took over pop radio and dance leaning stations were over taken with the Hip Hop movement both of these genres were leaning to a darker more depressed mood.Their messages were about despair whether it was in the ghetto or in the suburbs. There was no room for freestyle music and its lyrics about love and partying.Furthermore, alot of freestyle artists where blacklisted but thats another story altogether. Now the music cycle is finally back to the same mood that it was in the late 80's early 90's.Who would've ever thought that boy bands would come back after the New Kids or that we have the likes of Britney and Christina(modern day Tiffany and Debbie Gibson)The time is right for freestyle to make a comeback when and if we get good songwriting, vocals and production.

Ok,

As fans of music, whichever type you listen too, I don't care who it is, how good or bad they are, if you have a favorite artist you are going to support them no matter what. So, I for one will suppot my favorite soloist, groups etc etc. When k7 came out with Swing Batta swing I couldn't wait to get it because I knew it would be good and I also knew there was going to be freestyle because its a part of who k7 is. I think that freestyle along with all other types of music will be around for a long time, it might not be as popular as other music, but I think thats why its so special. Anyways, lets just see what happens, but i'll bet you that there are going to be some ballads, dance, freestyle and a little bit of salsa on that album. BTW, who is Wu Tang

aahh just messin

I would have to disagree, some artists are to blame for the downfall of freestyle im not mentioning names but their were alot of artists that were releasing terrible material bad vocals, songwriting and bad producing, which i believe gave freestyle a partialy bad rep. The following artists are what made freestyle what it is Stevie B, George Lamond, Cover girls, Safire, Johnny O, Cynthia, tka just to name a few (sorry if i left out someone) but these were the one's with true talent and passion for the music.

I just wanted to add (or reiterate) that G.L. is one of the main reasons that we all had the opportunity to fall in love with freestyle. It should be taken as granted that he can't go wrong with any music he puts out.

I agree with you Lyzelle, but, there is bad material in all types of music. Correct me if i'm wrong, its not the artist that's releasing the album, its the production companies that are doing it, so lets blame them for the lousy mistakes they made.

We can't keep a dreamer from realizing there dreams whether we agree with them or not.

God Bless

I can understand everyones point on this thread. BUT we do have to understand that straight up freestyle will not be played on regular rotation in NY or anywhere else for that matter. These artist have to cater to what the radio will play, if they want to be heard on anything other than late night mixes or on the hours That Judy plays Freestyle.

I know it can be a dissapointment to the freestyle fans that want an all Freestyle album to be put out, but we have to understand that what made freestyle distinct from other genres were the sounds. If you read on what are everyones favorites, you will see metropolitan, cutting, Micmac, fever and all of the others who cornered the market on those Orchestra Hits, those 808's 909's the Violin intros, the edits, you don't hear those sounds(on radio rotation songs), why because pop music took over, with thier own sound, (although some kinda hint on the freestyle sound).

I agree new producer better vocalists, different music will make for a better song, but if it doens't fit the radio format it won't get played.

but those are my 2 cents. I love my freestyle!..😉

Im gonna go with Ph@tbreaks and Jack on this one...After ALL TKA & George have done for us in FREESTYLE, we should welcome, support and appreciate ANYTHING they choose to do...I for one have no problem following them in their Genre of choice, isnt that what GROWING is all about? Lets not stop the growth of Artists we love to hear, lets see how much more they can give to us. And in seeing what they give us, we will be GIVING THEM..ALL the support they need to create a formula for SUCCESS. I wish you fellas the BEST!!! I KNOW I'll be buying the CD, and I hope you ALL do the same, DONT LOOK FOR MP3s LIKE MOST of you who CLAIM to support DO!
