How you loved me and then
Lead me to believe,
How you touched me and
So the love was concieved,
The pretty pictures of your face
In my minds Eye your body I trace,
Suffocated with the scent of you
The prints of your lips on me spoke true,
How beneath the skin the shadow leaves
Then the hour changes and no longer can I see,
No sign that you loved in my bed
No small fragments of the game you led,
The sound is faint and with it the words you said
Traces of tracks at how quickly you sped..
The story changes leaping into my back
The pain like a sword and your stab,
Swept me into the sky, left me drifting into the wind
So where do I go now, How do I begin,
How do I pretend that I spoke not your name
Pretend that I never really did change
behave as though my life is still the same,
What sign will come if any at all
How will I know when it's time to let go,
For all the sanity there is I cannot find peace
My mind constantly seeks answers but, finds defeat,
No will to move on, just lay still for a while
Finding solice in the memory of your smile,
The distance calls on me willing me to stay
It's time to go yet, I'm stuck in this place,
Maybe love wasn't here, maybe it never did exist
So why do the chains lock so heavily on my wrist....
