I have two boys (6 & 5 yrs old).
1st... I woke up in the morning and I was laying in a puddle so I looked at my (then) boyfriend and asked him if it smelt like pee. He smelt it and calmly said, no, your water probably broke. I didn't feel any pain or anything so I stood up and just waited for the pain to kick in. I sat on the toilet (sorry, had to say it) and called my mom and then the doctor. My doctor told me to get to the hospital as soon as I can. My boyfriend was in the shower and then started to eat something and I just sat there because I felt nothing. I was so afraid the pain was going to kick in so I just wanted to sit there. lol I laughed at my boyfriend because he was all calm about it, going about his morning business while I was obviously about to give birth to our first child. We still laugh at that day now when we talk about it.
Anyway, we got to the hospital, and got into out little gowns and I laid there {{{now, totally in pain}}} I got the shot and felt better. When it was time to push, I didn't feel my contractions that much so I couldn't push the way they needed me to so they had to go in with the forceps and pull him out. They even used the suction "thingy" and his head got all beat up looking. My poor baby. My baby Sammy Jr. was born. I woke up about 5:00am in the puddle, got to the hospital around 6:00 and he was born at 3:01pm.
Me and my boyfriend were broken up by the time our second child was born. It was about 8:00am and I started to feel tight cramps so I called him and he came to my house. We got to the hospital around 9:00am but this time, he didn't want me to get the miracle shot, so I tried to do it without it. He kept reminding me that Sammy's head got all retarded looking and the forceps scratched his face a little. so I DIDN'T GET ANYTHING!!!! God forbid his kid have a scratch on him. :lol
Anyway, my little Louis was born at 2:35 pm. God, that was some experience. Since I felt everything, I felt my Hips totally separate in order for him to come through. WOW.
Sammy of course was named after his father and Louis was named after my mother who died 27 days before he was born. 🙁
He is actually named after both of my parents... Louis (for Louise) and Anthony for my father.
In sadness, comes Joy and my son is named after my mother.
A woman once said to me during my first pregnancy, "this will be the worst pain that will be the easiest to forget". It is so true. Even though I remember at that time it hurt "like hell", I don't remember how bad it hurt. Does that make sense? lol
