Pre nubs or what?

My boyfriend and I got engaged in November right. Isn't that great? Well, anyway we have been having a disagreement, he wants me to sign a pre nub and I disagree with that. I have been with him since I was fifteen years old and he was my first. Yea we have had our times but look where I always end up or look where he always ends up back together. I was with him when all he had was a dollar in his pocket and I had two dollars and we would buy food and share it. I for one am not going for a pre nub it makes me feel as if he does not trust me. He feels that if something ever happens and we get divorced he doesn't want any other man living in his house, driving the car he bought for me and he doesn't want to support us both but he will support his daughter. I understand where he is coming from but still I will not agree to sign one of those things because if it was the other way around and IM making more money than he is I will never ask him to sign a pre nub why because that's just me.:nono
So I am very mad at this and want to know or at least want some help with this situation and let me know what ya think.

i can understand where he is coming from but i see your point. its not like you are with him jsut for money. i say if he is that worried why get married. hope it works out.

I thought pre-nups were for ish you own goin into the marriage. Not what you aquire after the vows. I could be wrong though cuz Louisiana is a community property state. 🙂

A pre-nub is only for the things you already had before you got married. So, if you have nothing when you get married there is nothing to give. If you gain it once you got married it has to be split up no matter what.
