I wish you the absolute best, and thank you for your wonderful music. I won't say goodbye, because you're not really going anywhere, you're just moving on into a new chapter in your life and your career, and girl, 2003 will belong to YOU. It's classy ladies like yourself that make me proud to be Latino. So hurry up and get into that studio and drop that album, cuz I can't wait to hear what you have in store for us. BUT UNTIL THAT DAY, I'M THINKING OF YOU.

Good Luck Safire with your new Project!!!!
You have been an inspiration to many of us. All the best to you...
Thanks for all the great music you have provided us with.
You have my support. I'm sure the best is yet to come.

Ayna

Even though I could tell you this in person, I couldn’t resist but to join the rest of the gang.

We've known each other for a very long time and you know you have always had my support. From the very beginning till now I have seen how much you have grown, professionally and mentally. I have seen how you handle your business and you make me proud. You have truly made an impact in the music industry not only in the Latin community but also in the rest of the world. I am confident that you will succeed with your next project and I wait with anticipation.

From time to time I look at my extensive collection of "Safire" music videos, TV performances & interviews, magazine & newspaper articles, flyers, bios, etc. and say to myself "wow" what an exciting time it was for my girl and for myself.

Thank you for the many years of great music. Thank you for being one of the most successful artists in your genre. Thank you for carrying yourself with grace, dignity & style.

With all the love in the world - SAMMY

I want you to know that I am a longtime fan of yours and I just have so much respect for you. Boy Ive Been Told is my all time fave freestyle song! And all of your other songs are amazing, as well. Like SexyAngel, I used to sing along to every one of your songs and pretend that I was you and try to do all the little dance moves you did in your videos!! I had the honor of seeing you perform live and you just blew me away! Especially when you sang Thinking of You! What else can I say except that you are a true talent?? I will definitely miss SaFire, but I look forward to whatever other music you come out with in the future!! I am a fan for life no matter what you do!!! I wish you the very best of luck!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!

Love Always,
Randi (FreestyleGal)

Safire,
You will be sadly missed in the Freestyle community. I remember the first time I heard your music was back in 1988 and I was in stationed in England at the time. On my base they played "Boy I've Been Told". The next day I went out and bought the 12" record (import) at an English record store. I had a friend buy the CD for me and send it over to merry ol' England. Anyway, thanks for the awesome music over the years. I tell myself at times that if the music business had not been so screwed up over the 90s that we would have gotten a few more CDs out of you (by the way, what happened to 'Easier Love' that you performed in a show in the mid 90s). It was great hearing you back on radio when Energy 92.7/5 played "Can you stand the rain" in heavy rotation this past year! I wish you luck and success in whatever type of music you pursue. You have a great voice and I am sure it will sound great in what it is you are wanting to do. One thing that I can say is that I am grateful to had had the chance to see you perform in Chicago.
With love from all your fans in Chicago and the Midwest...including IOWA.

Safire,
You are the crown jewel of Freestyle.I will support you to the end of time, for "You Are The One" & wish you all the success that is due to such a goddess as yourself.

Safire,
Be played your songs on KNON 89.3 on a daily basis. I really can't say too much because I would just be repeating some of the previous posts. You have been blessed and will continue to be bless in which ever genre you chose to pursue. And regardless my boyz at KNON will still bang your songs. Much Love and Respect.....

I already had the fellas over at freestylefile.com read this to Safire during their Saturday broadcast, but I just thought I would post it here, since we are all giving it up for the DIVA!

*******
Safire, it has been an honor, privilege and genuine pleasure to work for you. Being on stage as one of your backup dancers has been a dream come true for me. My only regret is that I didn't meet you sooner. Your professionalism and kindness are two of your qualities that I will always treasure. Your beautiful.....on the inside as well as the outside! Your career has been tremendous...and don't even think for a minute that anyone will forget what you accomplished as an artist. As the curtain closes for Safire, I am sure that your star will continue to shine even brighter as you pursue your future endeavors. All my love, Justin a/k/a J Stylez

Safire, you will never know what this job has meant to me....once again I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

And thanks to the crew at freestylefile.com for reading this to her during their broadcast!

What a sad, but happy day..

Spanish Harlem Queen
All these years you've done your thing.
Even from the wings I stopped to hear you sing..
Stopped, watched you bring,
Respect among those things..
Talent to spread your wings
and inspire a future king..
Girl I've Been Told
that leaving is the thing.
But who's gonna hold it down?
The style, without a queen?
Moving on its hard, but it's something your heart is asking.
Retire? No. Still working hard,
no relaxing.
I'll be Thinking Of You, and all the moments your music blared..
Out my speakers in my room in the hood,
when no one cared..(u were there)
When freestlye was hiphop and fans only danced..
No fussing and cussing, give the music a chance.
Movin' on is blessing
may you set more hearts on fire..
Not a fan of too many but
I love some Safire....

Best of luck in your bold new and exciting world!

I wanna see you on MTV dammit...
Shoot for the Moon, and even if you miss
you'll be among the stars...
(well, you already are...)
:safire :sosad

Id like to personally thank Wilma Cosme for spending her last days as Safire with us. It was hard hearing her talk about the retirement on the air but I know after speaking to her on numerous occasions, that is is for the better. Id like to thank my partner Hightech for taking my place with the interview. I was considering doing the interview because she is my favorite Freestyle artist, but backed out, lol. It would have been too hard for me. It has been a pleasure and honor to have met her and Kenny Diaz on a personal basis. Her music will remain a huge part of our radio show and my life.

We have became good friends and only wish I have met her sooner.
Look forward to hearing your new stuff and working with you.

You have always been straight up with me when we talk, and I cherish that. You are one of the most classiest women I have met.
You are already a star in my book...

CHEERS TO A LEGEND *MUAH*
Love always,
Martin "DJ Paradise" Santiago

What A Long Strange Trip Its Been!

Dear Miss Safire,
This is my thank you letter to you, unlike your freestyle career, this letter will be brief! Your accomplishments are well documented and will never go un-noticed! Your fame and glamour will always be remembered as one of the brightest star's in the freestyle galaxy. But the most important thing that you have left the fans of freestyle are the memories you have bestowed upon us with you music, live performances and electrifying beats! I just came in from a cruise and I found myself playing a bunch of freestyle that brought me back to better days. Many of the CD's I haven't cracked open in years. Many of the songs were yours and they brought back sooooo many fond memories! You have given the fans of freestyle something to cheer about for so many years and its sad to see you move on. But, as we look back we'll always have the memories of those songs, performances and times we had when we listened to your jamz!

MISS. SAFIRE THANK YOU FOR ALL OF THE MUSIC AND THE MEMORIES!

Forever following in your music,

Pinostyle

Although I never knew her personally she always seemed so determined to please her fans before herself. She gave kick ass performances that would get the whole crowd moving, and she broght it all back with Can You Stand the Rain...her new album was off tha hook and she will be greatly missed......hopefully (ok wishful thinking) she'll make a guest appearence here and there......ill keep my auto pic in a frame on my wall for yrs to come....shes someone that will live on forever in her music and effect on freestyle! good luck Safire on ANYTHING that you decide to do, you are a determined individual and i know youll get far in this biz!!
