Hector Lavoe is truly "El Cantante De Los Cantantes". Than came Frankie Ruiz and these guys only did salsa and are still considered the best by people of all generations. Every generation brings it's own legend for his or her time. Marc Anthony has achieved international status which few puertoricans have achived, such as Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez to name a few. All I can say is que viva Puerto Rico!!!!!

You know since you mentined J-Lo, not for nothing but J-Lo being who she is has done nothing for her community. I lived a block away from her, attended opposite catholic schools from her and anyone from the good ol' bronx can remember Kips bay club.

All this stuff and she hasnt done anything for the hispanics children that idolize her.. Sooo, she watched some little girls perform...just my own opinion. I just get mad that she says she from the south bronx (which I think would be considered spanish harlem) when she lived on castle hill :sflower was a cool spot, but to say the least she should have contributed something~

this is a BEAUTIFUL lil' thread u have created!
For a minute there, I was like: "Hey, wheres "THEE" DIVA Rita Moreno? & BOOM! ...there she waz. lol.
Funny thing Kay, I am doing a site & working on one of my rooms to be all dedicated to the Latin celebs in Music & Film from past to present. (Mainly Puerto Rican).

The site will list photos, history, & refrences, while
The room will have only B&W 8x10 framed photos of all latin stars.
& Yes, TKA will be on there, as soon as I find an autographed b&w 8x10.🙂
One nice autographed 8x10 I do have is of Sweet Sensation, which will go right next to TKA - since I know how much u like them. (as do I)🙂

& For LatinRascal to talk junk, im surprised KAY & NAYA haven't "read" him. Then again, dont waste ur time. JLo & Marc Anthony are some of the kool celebs that represent Boricuas, but what Kay has put up are The LEGENDS that have paved the way for J-Lo & Marc, etc, to be accepted as they are today.🙂
& For that, we must ALWAYS be greatful. Not just as Puerto Ricans, but as Latino's in general!
