I was very sad when I found out about his death..I just lost a friend in Florida because of Lung Cancer also.. she was gone in less than 6 months after getting diagnosed.... Smoking is BAD for you and yet so many people don't think it's ever gonna happen to them..

I heard it this morning while I was getting ready for work and I nearly fell over. I knew he was diagnosed, but I really didn't expect for him to go. Was a shocker, and he will be missed. As a little girl, there are 2 anchormen I remember more vividly than others. One of which was Tom Brokaw and the other Peter Jennings. He will be missed and it is sad.
 
He had already let the public know that he was dying and that he did not have that long to live. It was done in a way where he talked about it, but then educated us about the sickness. Not once did he get emotional.
