Both Pedro and Zimmer have been fined for the incident on yesterday. I believe Manny Rivera got fined too for the over reaction to the pitch.

No suspensions mentioned as of yet.

The BULL PEN incident is still being investigated by the Boston PD
 
Yes LaBetty...Zimmer to because in essence he started it so to speak. Had he not gone after Pedro then Pedro wouldn't have thrown him to the ground.

I don't really agree with what Pedro did cuz like I said earlier...Zimmer is 73 yrs old...Pedro could have sidestepped him instead of throwin him to the ground but emotions were runnin high so I fully agree with the Baseball commission on fining both and not just one! 😉
 
I am a HUGE Yankee fan and I just still cant believe what went on last night! I am trying to be as unbiased as I possibly can be in this situation. And I am going to have to say that Zimmer had no right to run out there and charge Martinez. Now I am trying to understand the fact that Zimmer got emotional cause of what happened to him when he got beaned, so maybe I can understand his emotion. BUT I think Pedro is a total shit for the way he handled it. He definately has the right to protect himself. I mean Zimmer doesnt have the right to punch him just cause he is an old man. BUT Pedro handled it completely wrong, he should have shoved Zimmer away or bear hugged him, NOT take his head in both his hands and slam him to the ground. That was a little excessive if you ask me!!
 
whats pending is possible charges for another fight in the bull penn.. two yankees could be charged on assualt charges for attacking a fenway park attendant..:rolleyes
 
I totally understand about one defending themselves.........but Zimmer is still AN OLD MAN!!!! Someone else with better sense would have handled Zimmer differently. (Just as Krystal stated)

I really didn't see Zimmer punch Pedro. I saw him walking towards him with his finger pointed at Pedro as if he was reprimanding him.

being dominican myself i gotta say that pedro gave a bad example to all his ppl esp me :mad im piss off at what he did cono what he did to mr zimmer was a big no no and regardless if he was white, black or hispanic bringing down zimmer like that was wrong PERIOD!!! shit esp if its someone like him of that age and i will be mad as hell also if i was rican and pedro was the same i get piss off at him too hes someone whos suppose to be a professional ballplayer and should act like one not be an a*****e takin down an old man who u know is half ur size and who cant deal with u in strength power

manny ramirez fined- $15,000 or $25,000 i forgot

don zimmer fined- $5000
eric garcia fined- $10,000
the other yank player forgot his name is fined- $15,000

for the red sox groundskeeper- they doin an investigation on his ass and i hope he gets a bigger fined then all of these guys put together fukin mamao
