K guys..here it goes!

The night starts out at 10:30 when i get to the door and walk in cause i am THE sh*t...lol..jokes!

Get to the club at 10:30 and i am welcomed by the sounds of Kate Ryan as i enter the club, My friends and i go to the bar and start to drink. The tracks dropped last night were unbelievable, I;'m sure you have all heard them since it was LTA but the fun really starts at 1:00.

Anyways, after i bit i go to the dj booth to hang out a bit up there when once again u see a group of ladies walk through to the door, and gain some much deserved attention..yes..Freda and Co. come into the club..and this is just the begining of an artist filled night. As soon as Pauly P see's her he drops "Promise to Stay" and the place went mental.

So then i see Unique in the crowd, invite them to dance. People that don't know Unique Peronally..Mike and Sofia are AMAZING people. I really wish them all the best.
So we are chilling when we hear a bunch of stupid broads start screaming Joee..get over it ladies..your over 22..leave the dramatics at coatcheck.
Anyways..New Joee was Dropped..."Does that make you happy" great track..but i was getting looks when i was singing to this track..who cares..GEEVE. It's a nice track with a mix of Fragma feel and Becca Styles..really great club track. I'll purcahse the vinly for sure.

Pauly P dropped Terra Skye and Milk Inc back to back followed by sick tune! (i will find the name out later today)...what a mix..i'll have to try it.
I'm not sure if that was LTA or not..but i don't think it was.

So we had, Freda, Joee and Unique...who needed an Invasion Afterparty..all we were missing was Sylver

So the Place stayed packed even after i was gone at 2:00.

To sum it up...people knock Paps for whatever reason, this night was one of the best night in clubbing history that i have been to..and i have been around. The crowd was beautiful, no attitude (regardless of past experience), and the music was top notch all the way.

Shouts to Pauly P, Danny D, Johnny C, Freda, Unique and the Paparazzi door people for the royal treatment.

DRC rating is 10/10 for SURE.

Ok?

So what happens when next Saturday comes by, and none of these "people" come by (cause there ain't no invasion), the club once again will be half empty.

The scene has been "played" @ Papparazzi's for years now.

Truth of the matter is Papparazzi's will soon be goin outta business! They've been struggling to bring in a 'capacity' crowd in for ages! You may wonder how we all know this, people in the
"entertainment" industry are just watching the clock and pretty much "bailing" out of obligations, cause they know Papparazzi's is a SINKING SHIP!

Nothing against you, you like the club, thats fine. There was a time where I use to go (on a weekly basis), and I dont live to far from the place either! I use to have a blast, BUT because of a lot of backstabbing, crooked deals and empty promises a lot, and I mean a LOT of radio personalities (Euro-invasion wink wink) from certain radio stations, and other Toronto radio stations are trying to stray away from this black hole!

Thats my 2 cents!

the info that cant be found.........SPYBOY delivers it........hence the name...........good one man

that is very very interesting to hear i must say!! i like papps! always have.. everytime i go there it is always full.. but wutever.. i guess u guys know more about this a than i do !! i like the club and hope it doesnt shut down.. it would be a dissapointment to me personally !!

Paparazzi is not going ANYWHERE

First of all, even though I hardly post on this board, I read it every day. Usually I prefer to observe what others have to say than to speak my own mind, but this time I must interject.

Spyboy, not to sound rude or anything, but WHAT THE F**K ARE YOU SAYING? I have been a regular at Paparazzi since I was 16 years old with a fake ID. True, the old days were entirely different, and that for a month or so after the unfortunate incident last year the club was VERY close to shutting down; but in all honesty, Saturday nights at Paparazzi have been steadily coming back lately. As a matter of fact, the club is pulling in just as much, if not more money on Saturday nights than it has ever pulled in on any night. It is still filled to and sometimes over capacity each and every Saturday night, and even the Friday night party is gaining speed.

As far as industry insiders "waiting for the club to shut down," those insiders will be waiting a LONG time still. If my memory serves me, I beieve Paparazzi is currently the longest running club in the GTA under the same name.
Bottom line: PAPS IS STILL TOPS

...

SpyBoy..good info..i just hope the "inside" people..whoever they are don't hold their breath to long..average person can hold their breath for 4 min....and like "gino" said it IS THE longest running club in the GTA.

So..let me ask you SPYBOY..you should become a SPYMAN and see that politics only effect those that have no clue what they are doing. I geeve about what happened in terms of the "Invasion" I helped with the promotion of the show...and whatever happened after is not my problem..i know both sides and RESPECT both sides.

"Soon going out of Business" umm..no..i can tell you it's not going anywhere. There are things going on for Paps that maybe people don't know about now..but you will.

If there is bad blood somewhere i apologise..and i am NOT knocking your comment SpyBoy..you are entitled to your say 100% But lies and rumors are something that should not be spread.

Ok gentlemen:

I appreciate you responding to the post I made, I did it neither to offend or upset anybody! I just wanted to let you know that, yes I have done some work with a few local Dj's and radio stations. So I have heard mixed reviews, BUT, you gotta remember one thing about this place. It has a reputation of booking acts, taking money and deposits, (which happened around 97-98) closed its doors "for renovation purposes" changed ownership titles, which has happened more than 4 times in the past 5 years (i.e Papparazzi's, Club Papparazzi's, Papparazzi's 2000, Club Papparazzi' & Lounge) . It happened when I was doing work for a certain radio station, we had booked a few acts to perform, they collected the deposits and what not, and then 1 week later shut the doors, and told us kindly to "stick it where the sun don't shine!".

I understand you point DRC, I understand that your bustin your ass to get allstar line-ups and what not, Props & respect to you bro! Im just saying, watch your back, this business is a bitch!
I've seen the place, I chill at Just Desserts in the same mall and yes I know that it can get packed up I've seen the crowds! It's just that a few people I know in this business have been screwed and never do business with them again, (I know its all about the politics) and it isn't or makin it sound like Im holding a grudge against anybody, I even still go there for a drink once in a while, this place was my first "club love".

Your in this business too, (remember Ricky Ricardo's) well, that place use to be smokin on a saturday night! But unfortunately, some of the same mischievious things were happening there as they were @ Paps. And if you remember correctly, around New years of 95 what happened: If you guessed *KABOOM* they blew the place up, give yourself a pat on the back! I wouldn't want to see that happen to a place where we hold so dear to our hearts.

You gotta remember bro that sometimes "History repeats itself" and we gotta be ready with the life-preserver just in case the boat sinks!

Peace!😎

ahahaha
SPYBOY. You crack me up. The day Paparazzi gets blown up will be the day I move to Afghanistan. Yes, the owners of the club have been know to make business deals in their own best interest, and yes, they have quite a few enemies in the industry. But that is a FAR cry from seeing the great ship sink. Nobody in their right mind would even dream of taking on the Prochilo's - And even if they did, they would come up way short of the mark.

Prochillo or no Prochillo:

You gotta remember "one day it will all come back to you!"

Here are a few quirky facts or calling cards that were left for them:

(1) Summer of 94, one bouncer (family cousin) gets shot in the back, shooters leave him with a message, that some body else is gonna get it!

(2) Cocaine gets planted in the back room, a call goes into York regional police station, cops raid, PAPS closes = new ownership a.k.a Tony the manager

(3) Attempted suicide driver waiting for one of the "Brothers" attempts to run him over in the parking lot summer 95

and the list goes on......

Gino4ever you gotta remember when your in this business, be it promotions right into any area of marketing, you gotta be carefull not to get screwed!
