There were (are) a number of artists that were deserving of more attention than they received in the Freestyle community. I could claim Daisey's feat. Willie Valentin "Take Me Far Away " (her album never released) didn’t garner the praise it was due or that Linda Santiago was overlooked despite placing an album. Alexis could certainly qualify for this list. What's your take on overlooked artist in the Freestyle Community.

Philip anthony is one and Manny is another that I think should get more recognition. Artie and Legit put on a great show, too. Carmelo is another good artist.

Jonelle is probably one of the most overlooked artists in freestyle. I would think that Emma Collado would have gotten more pub, considering how good her song was.

Susan Santiago....a product of the Santana Twins.......should've recieved her props for her full-length release more than 10 years ago!

Hailing from Puerto Rico....with some sick Freestyle tracks and production.....she not only had songs in English....but also Spanish versions.

Artistik's Michael Anthony Bertot is not only one of the best writers in any genre of music but also a solid Artist and Producer. His biggest hit "For Always" (Randy Kendall) was one of Metropolitan's biggest hits. Not only did he write the song, but he sang all of the verses as well.

I agree with that one. Also George Anthony. Love his voice. Others that come to mind are D'zyre-"Forever Amor" is a classic and "Games of Love", their last single is one of my fave songs from the era. Speaking of "Games of Love", I'd have to say Tonasia is pretty much never talked about. And his songs were sick!! The list goes on: Laura Enea, Fascination (She should be at every MSG and Taj show), Charlie Babie, Clear Touch....

George Anthony is also on my list.
Once the prize possesion of Mic Mac Records and great Salsa prospect as Jorge Luis, his voice in undeniable.

George's songs include : I Love You, Take Me Away (duet with Nyasia) and "Am I Gonna Be The One" as Groove Therapy.

He was also featured on Artistik Freestyle Parade 2 with "What Will It Take"
(3 - Artistik Family's "Together") and Artistik Freestyle Parade 2k1 cd 2 (Groove Therapy) with Henry Vargas of (On 2)

He was the Artist that was supposed to do George Lamond's "Someone Like You"

These demo is around. I've been buggin many to get a copy of it.

PS: George Anthony has an identical twin and they both sound the same.
You can actually have two seperate concerts and no one would know the difference.

We already know what the status of Freestyle is.
Can we put this aside and have a conversation about the music?

If you are an avid Freestyle follower, one would know who is overlooked in the genre and who has the most backing.

what is really funny is that the really bad artist are the ones that released cds

It is the people that get behind these "Artists" that are to blame.

If they are so bad then why are so many jumping on their bandwagons?
(Because of the "hope Aha ha ha!!" "The illusion" - George Carlin of making money off of them!)

Take a look at Tury Q and Emanuelle.
Someone gave these guys a deal.
Their attempts at a Freestyle career should have stopped at the Producer's door.

If they get passed the Producer then it supposed to get stopped at the Distributor's door.

And if they happen to get a distribution deal and it doesn't stop there, then it is upto all the fans to no bother buying that crap.

(But they do!)

They jump on it because they are starving for Freestyle and they'll feed on anything with the lable on it; Even if its not good.

Tury Q! Wow, I remember that. That record did have some bangin' beats on the B Side, LOL. Believe it or not, there was a girl that had mentioned that song to me a couple years ago. She started singing it & talking about how she liked it. I was just standing there with my mouth hanging open out of disbelief. I didn't even bother to check her on it. Just chalked it up to "sometimes girls say the most ridiculous things" lol.

LOL ..... You crack me up man, really ...

Don't like my response, don't reply back to it ... Simple as that.
So go ahead, have your conversation with others, I wasn't speaking to you anyway.
You should just be happy that my response bumped the thread back up to the top of the boards if you like this topic so much.

It would be nice if the same typical responces from the Freestyle Book of Excuses wasn't used.

"You wasn't speaking to me anyways?"
What are you 7?!

No. You are addressing everyone and I addressed you.

I should be happy?
(I'm always happy.)

No one sit on pins and needles waiting to read what you write.

wOw! You bumped up a thread.
(Everyone! Bloomfield bumped up a thread!)

Its there a special thread bumping prize?
Kenny! Is there a special thread bumping prize?
Maybe some free tickets to those concerts you promote;
Give ol' Ave Cruiser something; He bumped up a thread...
Thats never happened here before!

Oh. And be happy about it because he did it; He bumped it up!

From this day forth today, January 23, 2009 will be known as "Thread Bumping Day"

Please feel free to go back a year or two and bump up those threads with the same responces that Bloomfield use a few posts ago.

Congratulations!
Its TBD 2009!

Look CPR, Lets just nip this in the bud right now.
I think we are a bit old for this nonsense.

I have never said or done anthing to you.
If you don't like my reply, don't reply back to it.
It's not like I disagreed with anything you had to say to begin with.
If that was the case, I could understand the reply back.
I'm not sure why the word "all" struck such a nerve with you.
Perhaps you were looking for a more in depth coversation.
That fact that my reply did not satisfy your wishes is not a reason to call me out or question if I'm an avid freestyle follower.

Lets just end this now before it snowballs.

There's nothing to nip in the bud.
There's nothing going on here.
...and it takes alot more to touch my nerves.

Just remember that you don't get to decide who responds to your posts or not.
