I like Oscar, but I really think he's going to lose this fight. This kid is to fast and also hungry. I got Mayweather!!!

I have to go with Mayweather, too. But you can never underestimate de la Hoya - he always manages to pull through for some very controversial wins.

Oscar is an awesome fighter. The guy might just look like a regular dude but the guy puts alot of heart into his matches. However, Mayweather has never lost a fight and has had 10 less KO's than TKO's. I'm going just a little bit more for Mayweather than De La Hoya. But it's still anyone's battle.

Well, I was rooting for De La Hoya eventhough I had in my mind that Mayweather was going to win. Mayweather did end up winning. Mayweather's cheap technique led him to win. But you know what, if Oscar were to catch up with mayweather in his technique, he would've been down and out because Mayweather isn't that hard to hurt once he's hit. And if you're a powerfighter as well as a speed fighter, Mayweather wouldn't know what hit him. I give extremely high props to De La Hoya for taking that f****t the distance. He did really well in his approach and was just a few points away from winning.

dont know why oscar abandoned his jab which is one of his best weapons in about the 8th round , lot of flurries but little accuracy very close fight..oscar very impressive especially for someone who sat out for a couple of years.. I SMELL REMATCH i dont care what both said at the end at the 12th round ending bell they both where laughing , must have been thinking of going to the bank, wasnt the fight i was expecting through all the hype but a great fight overall

Oscar had no choice. He was being a careful fighter in this match. However, the few times Oscar got him, he REALLY did get him as Mayweather didn't know what hit him. This is why I say that if he conquers this guys technique, Oscar would really have Mayweather in his pocket.

I do hope to see a rematch as well. Hopefully Oscar will learn from his mistakes and try to defeat his weaknesses concerning the first match. I still remember Mosley and De La Hoya II. To me, Oscar should have won that rematch but the judges made Shane as the victorious one again when facts proved that it should been Oscars win.

Oscar could of won this fight if he had a better trainer, more aggressive.

cant take away anything from freddie roach, that guys incredible with parkisons and everything , in the training sessions i have seen on the HBO coverage "24/7" it looked as if oscar and the other boxers training where trying to keep up with him! I believe it was his aggressive training that got oscar in shape enough to not only go the distance with mayweather but leave a questionable win with the split descision after being out of the ring for so long, oscar usally has had a trend where after the ninth round he tires out, the mayweather camp was depending on that..even advising floyd "dont worry about it he'll tire out soon then youll get him" but del la hoya didnt tire..at the 12th he looked like he was just getting started.. thats an attribute to freddie roaches intense training, also you gotta listen to your corner, i dont think oacar was really hearing what freddie and the others where telling him in betwen rounds.. a little to tense and overfocused as a fighter in that state you get tunnel vision

Not taking anything away from Oscar, he did good, but I really think if he would of had a aggressive trainer like Floyd {the father}, De La Hoya would of won this fight. Also he spoke yesterday about not really throwing alot of jabs, that really f**k him up, he needed more jabs in this fight. I think is very important for a boxer to throws a lot of jabs, is the key to winning.

Clap ya hands if you like violence! Jennifer Lopez, her husband and a whole bunch of other bloodthirsty celebs trekked out to Las Vegas this past weekend for the big Oscar de la Hoya and Floyd Mayweather fight. (Mayweather - barely - won).

I wonder if these artists and actors get to come to these famous matches for free. If so, that's so not fair!!
