United States "intelligence" is being ridiculed now that no "weapons of mass destruction" have been found the same intelligence that claimed to have not have had a clue that the events of 9 11 were not only possible but evident uuumm errr DOH!!!
 
why no comment? we need to start queationing our govt actions!! its still not clear to many americans exactly why we are there..and why we are losing troops daily and now after first saying we need to go in stop the terror with vigilance G W (bush) is now the one saying we need to investigate our intelligence communities information can someone scream HIPOCRITE!!!

just a glance no comment also toni? whos gonna say something? see thats the problem with us we just watch the news watch cnn and then just go on like nothing becuase it doesnt really affect our everyday.. you know how many terror threats were made today cancelling flights all over the superbowl today was expected to have an attack there was supposed to have been a hijacked plane crash into the stadium or a "dirty bomb'" set off there today many books and movies have been made for such an event the most famous BLACK SUNDAY lately many of TOM CLANCYS books which center around fiticious terror attacks are a grim reality threat mabye they should put tom as a top advisor for homeland security!!
 
Look Tae from the beginning I have been against this war, and let me state that again the "WAR" not our troops.I stand %100 behind them and they are always in my hearts and prayers but i believe that they are ignorant as to what they really are there for. I'm not saying that by going into this country was wrong but I believe that we should know exactly why we went in.

Now we find no weapons of mass distruction and all our gov gotta say is "so what". Thats bullshit to me and yes i do want answer. Am i gonna get them I think not but I just hope that all of our troops come home.
 
All I know is this freakin' government and such high intelligence better wake the "F" up! They fell asleep on this terrorists and because of their neglect we lost a lot of lives. Innocent lives!!!! If they sleep on these MotherF'ers again, they're going to nuke our a$$e$!!!
 
i am rolling my eyes because people think what they see and hear on the news is the all knowing truth

we are in this war for a reason...the president and congress felt we must go over there...if it was for personal reason just on bush's behalf the congress wouldnt have voted in favor of the war...they know a lot more then we will ever know

like many people on this board i could see the world trade burning from my window...saw the smoking coming out of the site for weeks afterward...i never want my daughter to have to go through that

so if there is a led about terrorism going on in iraq, i say wipe it out...RIGHT OR WRONG!!!
 
that was one of the "alledged' reasons we went into iraq however our 'inteligence" never had solid evidence that al queda was ever in any affiliation with the "fearless dictator" that was suddam huissen which was then captured from a little dirt cave in the ground like a common rat had any ties to the real person we wanted to see on the front pages osama bin laden that it may have been a big distraction to save face!! we in this campaign have not yet dealt with the real people behind the acts against us.its all a political show so far and now an embaressment with many lives lost we have to ask "for what???"

the key word is 'nessecery" if the main objective was to locate military weapons of mass destruction then that objective failed meaning americans died for nothing troops as innocent as those civilians who were in the towers you saw ."we " saw fall!! ..here is another prespective when senior GW was in power we had the abliity to wipe hussien and the whole iraqi army out then!! why didnt we?? why did we sudenly withdraw???? and alow him to remain in power so he could continue his atrocities?? its the same thing as going fifty years back having hitler in range of being killed or captured by our brave troops..then saying at the last minute :you know what lets let him kill an tourture a few hundred thousand more!! hes not such a bad guy!! well get him in a decade let him have fun!!!!! and that toni or anyone else wanting to debate with me..is not my opinion that im entitled too but historic fact!!
 
one more thing i will say before heading to bed is the average troop..soldier..navalman..aviator..may not truly grasp or understand why he ?she is being sent into combat..where he/she may lose thier life only that since day one /one of boot camp ( anyone ever in the military can never forget day one/one) you are trained to folow orders not question!! i personally was in the navy and it was nothing just a job until i was to be deployed to panama to capture some mentaly ill dictator called noriega..luckily for me he was captured the night before i was to go into a combat zone where people where not only trained but eager to kill me..and i remeber thinking and asking commanding officers at that time "i dont understand exactly why i may be killed" only that i was following orders.. and guess what not much has changed since the average eighteen year old dying in a rice paddy in the late sixties early seventies in viet nam .. troops (soldiers) just know they are following orders and not meant to question the political decisions of those above them especially the commander in chief to this day i know that at least thity men were killed in the little operation that was the capture of noriega and i think that just by luck i wasnt one of them and today we see on CNN daily troops being killed i can only think "they dont really know why they are there either nor does the american public " only thing thats for certain that we and the troops know for sure is someone is dying today and each and everyone of those deployed just prays " I hope it isnt me today"
 
bush senior was in a pre 9-11 world...a world where we tried very hard to obey all the laws of war...i think now gw has to say to hell with being more objective to what the world wants us to do

i mean what if they had evidence and didnt act on it and another attack happened...then everyone would be bitching

he wouldnt let us in his country to search for those weapons...what was he hiding??? that was one of the terms of his treaty from the first war, so he was violating it...i mean come on...u never know if they moved those weapons before bush invaded

i think bush now is back tracking a bit about iraq because re election is comign up...he's trying to politic his way out of this

u keep talking about us working to get osama...i mean we already occupy afganistan with troops...and i am sure we have secret sources in that country looking for him...you see how hard it is to find saddam in a hole...osama is in a hole dug in a mountain somewhere...but trust me we will get him...its not like we only went after saddam...just because the news doesnt report all the facts, especially about the troops in afganistan how they are there and dying too, doesnt mean its not happening

i was watching the dennis miller show and he was interviewing gulliani...even gulliani credits not having any more attacks because we are following the money trail and all these cells in this country have been CUT OFF

as for the troops...i feel very bad for them and thier familes...but when they sign up to be in the military they know there is a risk of them being killed in war...its not like they are drafting people
 
Toni, I agree with you, I never want anything like 9-11 to happen again. Everyone remembers the day and how so many people lost loved ones there, but what about how this happened?

Terriorists came into OUR COUNTRY AND KILLED OUR PEOPLE!!! I say go in and kill them all.

If a threat comes from a specific country, then we must go in and face them and take them out.

What I don't understand is how so many people with with their sons/daughters, husbands/wives over there are so against this... like, questioning WHY they are there? They did join the military, didn't they? That's what they do. If a police office is shot in the line of duty, do we question why he was at that place at the wrong time? It's their job and I thank God for brave people like that all the time.

It is a sin that so many people have to die and yes, if the "reasons" why we are over there are unclear, then just maybe, something should be said to ease our pain, but never doubt why they are there.

{{with tears in my eyes}} I am so sorry for all the lives lost there, but I do know, they did not die in vane, they died for us. God Bless Them!

I agree. So how cum we haven't gone into Saudi Arabia which is where the majority of the hijackers were from. I have my opinion of why but I like hearing others' points of view. 🙂
 
my opinion, and opinion only.....

We are in Iraq for two reasons.....

#1. The last conflict we had with them, they set the oil wells/fields on fire. We are there to protect our interests, since we get our oil from them.

#2. As I've been saying from the begining, we are there becuase we can't find Osama bin Laden.
 
we have to take everything with a grain of salt. you will always hear half truths form ea. side. this is why you have to filter everything and decided for yourself. i am just glad that we took a stance on terrorism.
