Who's going through the power outage mess with me????

Apparently, there's some big fire in a power plant in Niagra.

Power being lost in numerous areas. From Canada down to past Jersey, to Ohio, Detroit, and other places as well.

N.Y. has no trains, busses or subways running.

Investigations into possible terrorist activity....

I'm still at work, and the power keeps going in and out.

Hope everyone out there is ok......

Well Mike, no signs have been reported yet, and I hope it stays that way.

This started happening at the begining of rush hour. All I can think of is the tons of people in business buildings, with no power, stranded in elevators.....

or stuck in the subways....


I hope no one suffers from heat stroke during all this.
 
My homegirl in Jersey City says her phone and stuff is trippin. Hope peeps don't bug out in the streets when night time hits!! You know somebody is goin to try and act a fool somewhere! Be careful everybody!
 
Looks like I left NYC jus tin time! Geez, everytime something like this happens (as in 911) I was in FLorida. I hope Angie is OK, she doesn't do too good in heat and panic situations.

now we are dealing with tropical storm Erica!, ...lol I need a drink bigtime!

Power went out around 4pm, and it's still out in some places. Where I am, power was restored around 9ish. My cell was bugging during the outage and not working at all. I got called in to work when the outage occured cause they needed/wanted more people power in the emergency room, and the thing is, the ER is not my department! Funny how your job(and not even your own department) can kiss your ass and make all nicey nice when they need you. :rolleyes It was a typical heat induced night in the ER. You had your freaks and wackos, the psychos and a few dehydration cases.

Hope everyone got through this all right!

Ok, now I feel better. 🙂

It sucks cause it's hot as hell, and the power companies are urging people not to turn on the AC even if the power comes back on.They said not to use the AC until power has been fully restored for 6 to 8 hours. :crap When it's this hot and humid even the damn fan your sitting by doesn't help. The line from "Wizard of Oz" is going through my head: "I'm melting....I'm mellllting..." LOL

I trekked it to a friends house in NJ..

ANd do me a favor-- DON'T GO TO THE FUC*IN MOVIE THATER WHEN THE LIGHTS ARE OUT!!!!

I happend to be there to take my kids and hang out w/ my man.....then the lights went- I stay w/ him till 10 pm...dito he had to keep his staff there till then. and in a sense it was a big old party....imagine playing manhunt in a 10 cinema theater!!!

Thank god Sleepy Hollow has power back!
