The Puerto Rican festivities are this weekend... starting off with the Latin American Festival @ 116th Street, Manhattan

And on Sunday, at the PuertoRican Parade starting from 44th Street to 86th Street along Fifth Avenue, NYC.

There are so many great after-parade parties also!!

Who's going??? or watching the parade on TV???


I'm gonna try to make it this year; my friend has a spot for my kids on a float! I haven't been to the parade in about 5 years. :sflower

Well as for me, I wont be making it this year I will be away for the weekend. So who ever goes, Please becareful and Enjoy the weekend its going to be beautiful.
 
I wont be able to go this year but I will be wearing my PRican attire very proudly...blasting my PRican music!!!

There's usually not that many people at the finish point of the parade so i'll be there
 
always enjoy the parade or festival in NY..this
year i wont make it..but i still have chicago..
and it gets almost as crazee as ny!! :biggrin

I havent been to a PR parade since I was YOUnG way back in the early 80's! LMAO..
I just think its too chaotic.. im not one for huge outta the norm crowds.. just like Calle 8 in Miami.. NEVER went.. too damn crazy for me. .
 
well im off sunday so had a choice be in the city in sweltering heat with millions of other smelly, drunk, loud puerto ricans or chillin on a quiet beach with my baby on the jersey shore at point pleasant..guess which one im doin???
 
Ill stay home ripping some puerto rican ass and screaming out the window lol

I'm definitely going to be at the parade... I go just about every year.. I'll be at the end too.. not as crowded.. we'll be in the same spot we always are... Can't wait!!

diabloooooooooooooo q falta de respeto!!!!!!! what I wouldn't do for an alcapuria and relleno de papa I used to go right there on 5th ave and 48th.............damn nena! OK I'M COMING TO NYC FOR MY BDAY! I DESERVE IT DAMMIT

I'm one that used to go the PR Festival every year, since I live sooooo close to those streets. I walk from my house to the feast. 🙂 But let me tell you that last year I got sooooo turned off with it because of the cops. They have barricaded the streets in such a way that I felt like an animal walking down from 106th street and 3rd Ave to 116th Street. UNREAL what it's become. And only because it's a Latin feast. I know this year will be worst. This year I won't be walking down the feast at all since I'll be home cooking for my granddaughter's little birthday party on that same day. 😀 The festival was NEVER like that. The streets weren't closed in. They weren't barricaded at all.


Now the PR Parade, I would go to every year too. But my hubby is not coming out in it and neither is my daughter who comes out every year in it dancing salsa. So I'll have to see how I feel since my parties last til the morning hours here. I may be too exhausted on Sunday to go. :lol

Anybody who goes to this festival, please be careful. The cops are on a mission on this day.
