No Matter what we do as New artists, we just can't get approve, because we are not being play on the radio. Thats the reason why Oldschool freestyle live so long in our hearts, memories, and life. We heard them in Clubs, and on the Radio. If we all had that exposure, Freestyle will still be on the radio. Grey I just bought a PT Cruiser with the money I made with Freestyle... Hotwheels got the coolest cars...lol..
 
First of all, I want to thank all you came to AC to show their support to all the artist. I was not even 100% that nite maybe 30% My allergies where kicking my %$#@, but I didnt want to dissapoint.


I agree . I record Clean no compression , no effects , NADA, Not bad for a girl whos had no formal training . My Voice is what god gave me , I dont have a broad range but I know where I can record and be comfortable. My Voice is a wraspy unique sound.

Hey SAV, thanx for the show of support!.... I've owned a 1957 chevy, customed to the balls...and i've owned a Corvette ZR1 in the same summer......I loved them Both...technolgy evolved and made the ZR1 a kick ass piece of machine and I still drove the '57 which many enthusiats appreciated and at the same time didnt like the ZR1, to me the same attitudes and preferences are instilled into music. we all love classic and some wont accept the new.....that doesnt mean that your harsgh words and opinions will stop the new school artists from pursuing their dreams and reaching success. the 57 chevy is still a classic, and the zr1 has branched of to several amazing versions of corvette...I hope to see the new school acts do the same, branch off into great careers in their own sound....best of luck to you all and thank you to all the legends who have given us the music to know and love and grow from

New Skool Talent

I do agree that some New Skool Artists lack the talent of the Old Skool Artists we're so used to listening to. Yet, I know an artist whose music has the feel of the Old Skool Stuff that we soo appreciate. His name is Richie Santiago. Check out his website and let me know what you think. It's www.richiesantiago.com. You should be able to listen to part of his first song. Peace!!

We've had bad or no talent in the old school and new school. Lets just get rid of the bad period!!!! Support quality FREESTYLE MUSIC!!!!!

I see that the fans who diss the new school are straight up old school kats in my age group who cant let go of the 80's (thats why I did that skit in my parade 2k1 cds) Thats fine. Keep your memories, but just because the new school doesnt sound like the 80's freestyle dont take away credit from the new school. In reality I dont consider myself old school or new school. I am a FREESTYLE PRODUCER AND ARTIST PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To add to Willie's statement, back then that was the fab and it was easier for the artist to do their thing and quite honestly many of the bad acts were riding on the success of the good acts. Also many acts were blessed with good writing and production which pleased the crowd just the same. Its really a variation of many things and very seldom all at once co-existed. Today its a struggle because everything has to be good all around; vocals, writing, production, marketing, public relations, the whole thing. Had it been consistant all around maybe it will still be striving today, maybe :whistle 🙂

See not everbody is gonna feel our music as you can see. We will keep on trying though.
 
I could imagine creating a CD from scratch with so many songs is not easy! Especially in these times when millions do not embrace freestyle so strongly like years ago. Freestyle is going against lions and tigers of hip hop and other types of genres.

You guys are on the right track. I for one think the music is of very good quality and of course there could be room for improvement. But in every music genre there is need of improvement. Satisfying the masses is no easy feat. But acheiving a certain level of quality...well the masses do take notice.

Definately always room for improvement, thats what helps you develope as an artist. Thats whats great about it. We grow, we learn and we accomplish.
We are definately trying to reach the masses and thats not always easy but it is in our focus and tunnel vision as artists.

well no one can appeal to everyone - but to have someone post nasty messages just to tear apart your music means absolutely nothing... Enough people love and support Nu Image's music, so majority rules.
 
As a new skool artist I wish to defend all those trying to help keep freestyle going, but as well there are a lot of artists and producers that make sum serious wak azz music and cant sing a note, I aint perfect, and I dont say I am but there was a lot of freestyle comps. that should have never been pushed out and think it was gonna be a hit, and the producers know thats these kats arent worth the production , but all it come sdown to is the money cause people are willing to pay these producers , so the producers are easy to say "HELL yeh u can sing" know they are laying through there teeth, its all come down to is the loot, beleive there are a lot of cd I wish I never bought , after the first track I know its was gonna be trash, if the first song on th e comp is wake u know the rest of the album is gonna be just as worse, but yet us new skoolers continue to strive no matter how untalented people think we are, to keep the music going cause freestyle is dead and peopl eagree adn know it but its still around cause untalented new skool artist , are still making the music happen! YUP! including myself , Ricky Vaz
 
I think Nu-image has set the bar in so many ways,I am a huge fan ..Yeah there may be a couple of songs that dont appeal to me and I may comment about them in a professional way never bashing because you cant bash artist like them who keep doing thier thing and 99% of the time its fireeeee..Shit I just picked up a cd from a pop artist and there were like 3 songs out of 13 that appeal to me.So it amazes how people comment saying oh well there is only one song that they think is hot or the album sounds the same or what ever the case may be.Even commercial top 40 cds have the same problems ...I think some are so hard on them becuase they see so much talent in them and know they can save this music or take it to a new level where its respected ..I could be wrong but I think you guys sing off the hook and your writing is so well thought out and filled with emotions wich puts me in a nother place when I listen,,So thank you for that ...I still have the album in my car and still in heavy rotation and I dont do that with most albums.I can only imagine how you guys perform live. it just makes me wonders how hot the stage show must be...Anyone lucky enough to live near the next nui show should check them out ..You guys have my respect and support ..
