MLB has pulled a campaign from Columbia Pictures to have Spider man logos on The Bases in MLB ball parks. The was huge fan disaproval of this. Many thought it was hurting the games tradition.
The Yankees, Red Sox, Pirates and Brewers. was participates in this.
I understand the disapproval of this. But hey, sometimes you have to take risks to improve. I know The NHL needs to do this since they claim they are strapped on money. Sports is a business, period. Two sports that are good examples of taking huge risks are The NFL and NASCAR.
NFL has decided on a X-Mas Day game. Lots of outcry. it is predicted that Dads won't be at the table for X-mas dinner. I know I won't.LOL
NASCAR, changed their series from Winston to Nextel. Their biggest star alongside Little E is a Cali boy named; Jeff Gordon. They pulled many races out of the Southeast and put them in Chicago and LA and Las Vegas. Nascar is the second highest rated TV sport behind The NFL.
Even Network TV taking risks with Reality TV. Big outcry; That junk does not belong on Network TV. Network is for The real stuff like Law and Order and Friends. Now reality TV has taking over The Networks.
