This hopefully is the end all thread to the question

'When will freestyle become popular again..'
etc...

Well I have the answer:

When fans SPEND SOME MONEY ON IT!

TO WHINERS: Stop whining start spending.

I personally spent thousands within the last 3 years on Freestyle.
All you have to do is buy a CD or 2.

- As always if anyone has a problem with the straight talk...problem with facing the truth...

thats true ... but i go into stores & they dont even have that much freestyle to buy im willing to spend the money on it when i go into a store if theres a freestyle cd there, that i dont have ill buy it in a second..... but its not making a diffrence cuz most stores dont even carry too much freestyle especially here in jersey i gotta go to a couple diffrent places sometimes just to find a good freestyle mix cd... mostly i buy online :dancingb

thats true... :cheers

I don't feel the main problem with Freestyle is the money issue. Freestyle has a small dedicated fan base SMALL being the key word. The new generation doesn't even know that this form of music really exist. How can it make money if now one knows about it.

im always spendin my money on freestyle cds i think i need a new store to shop at because i picked up almost every cd up at the store i go into now i walk in and check the cds and i say i have that i have that . and the guy who works there is always showin me cds he has them ready for when i walk in .

As an artist I dont feel its not my job to promote myself but guess what I do ?You know why Because there are allot of no good peeps in the this buisness whether it be producers, promotors, etc...... who make you empty promses and cant do nothing for me or other artist. They out for themselves period..... they are very few whom I really trust and they know who they are.

I handle everything from co producing , writing, booking and believe it or not try very very hard to get my name out there for the fanz.

I can't tell you how much I've spent in the last 2 to 3 years. It's astronomical 😀 But I doubt it's helping. Reason being is cuz I'm buying most of it online or directly from the artists themselves (I.E. Nu Image, ASHLEY (that's for Latinoheat), and others.

The stores here don't carry freestyle. Does soundscan or whatever track what's sold online? I don't think it is.

And JackG? *BITE*

lmao @ K-

I was gonna bite but u beat me to it dammit
and I've boght Ashley's cd...I know it's for a great cause I EVEN bought the editz version that DJ Paradise did

and LIKE Krystal- I buy directly from the artists....

I love my freestyle!

I'm right behind Ashley. It's very ruff when your the only one with the Flash Light and it's a dark tunnel. We as artists Keep the faith and do this because we love it. Even if sometimes we just don't feel like we should go on. But there's always handful of people who share your despair and makes life a little easier to breath and be part of. Money is a big factor, but it needs more than that to accomplish a bigger goal. Get the recognition that some of us deserve. Some of us are respected by our piers, so why can we get respected by those who claim they want to see us grow and blow up. It's a sad reality my friends. I will continue to do what I do until I run out of breath, while my true friends are behind me, and my fans except and supports me. There's 2 placed that we need to conquer 1 the radio stations and 2 the clubs; until then we can keep pushing out music and promoting all of our hearts out to the world, but keep in mind of the thought, "Would they except our music"?

You Know theres so much freestyle out there that people still dont own, yet they be screamin for new material and asking why its dead. Then when albums drop they dont buy it. Its a Joke.
