no problem It happens 2 all!

@ Rhoq (Thank you) had wrong comp. in mind

I KNOW THE GUY THAT SINGS IT, HIS NAME IS "CHARLIE" HE USE TO BE ON TAZMANIA RECORDS! 🙂

Members of BBC the group

Charlie is only "da C in BBC" as he likes to say. The other members of BBC are Mike Ruiz and his cousin Joey Ruiz. Their latest (last) song published was "Burning Desire" on X-ess/Prymetyme's "Freestyle on the Radio Vol. 2" -- Amazon has snippets of the songs on the CD, which also includes "Baby I'm In Love With You" by Cheree and "Till The End Of Time" by Charlie (different from the Lil Suzy song of the same name).

Both Mike and Joey live with their respective families in Allentown, PA about 60 miles north of Philly. I think Charlie is still in the Army Reserves.

I know that Mike has written a bunch of songs that he'd like to publish, but I'm not sure about the music he'd like to use with them.

I have that song on 12 inch, I hate it, to be honest, to me it's just not a good song.It probaly has something to do with, when I bought it, I thought it was the one that was released in 1997 by I think Willie Valentin, I might be incorrect. That was a good song, and from what I heard, it's almost imposible to find on 12 inch, I tried for two years and never found it.

I respectfully disagree, I do like BBC's "No Matter What" just as much as Willie Valentin's, but for both "Burning Desire" and "No Matter What" I thought they could have tried more re-engineering and more studio time. The budget for Studio Time is quite expensive when you are starting from scratch, and you gotta get everything done in the time that you have, unless you can engineer the music yourself, which I would suggest that any artist attempt to do. This is your art.

Rob Federici of Tango/Tazmania did the engineering for both songs. "No Matter What" was co-written by Peter Fontaine. I think the lyrics and the ideas with NMW and BD are great, but it all could use more finetuning. I was unfortunately not part of production, I was just a witness to the ride. It is quite hard for Mike, Joey and even Charlie to get each section of the song correct and sounding good. Computers and re-engineering have made this process MUCH MUCH easier with the ability to loop good sections and chop out bad sections. Imagine Elvis or the Beatles, with literally taping pieces of audio tape together.

Willie Valentin's NMW is a bit more snappy and upbeat than BBC's. I have snippets of both on my website (below):

BBC's NMW:

No Mat-ter what I say or do-o-o,
I'll be there, just for you,
No Mat-ter what I say or do-o-o,

[I'm still editing this... please bear with me]

re: No Matter What -- different versions

BBC's NMW:

No Mat-ter what I say or do-o-o,
I'll be there, just for you,
Willie Valentin's NMW:

No matter what I do I can't stop loving you!
That's how you make me feel,
There's something abo-ut you!

No mather what I try can't get you off my mind!
When ever you walk in,
I can't live with out you!
I guess IMHO, both songs lyrically would work well for that wedding thread 😛

Somehow when I moved my website to its current home, I lost the .ra file that contains BBC's NMW. Once I find it again, i'll add to this thread.

Well, i will go back and listen to BBC's version. It has to be seven years since I listened to it or even pulled it out of the crate. I remember the cover being lime-green.I think it was of those songs that had those dropping beats, like Collage's(spelling) "I'l be loving you".Did they ever over do it with that beat, a couple of songs were good, but it just got out of hand.I think I'm going to post about it see what everybody else thinks.I appricate your opinion, and thanks.

Damn some1 did some diggin up around here! old threads cum bacQ 2 life! trueeeee!!!!!

um. oops. i screwed up on the lyrics! T_T

BBC's NMW
Chorus:
No mat-ter what I say or do-o-o,
Remember... I'll be here,
No mat-ter what I say or do-o-o,
I love you, yes I do, my dear!
I'm currently 3 hrs away at school, and I'll have more if and when I get back home to dig out my CD (sorry Mike! yer not paying me enough to promote and make me sleep with yer CD by my bedside! 😛 -- [small]read: he payz me a goose egg![/small]) 😛

Amazon's link to Tango's More Freestyle

Amazon filed Tango Records's More Freestyle under "Tango Records's Freestyle (set)". Here is the link to Volume 1 of the "set": link

Amazon has a short clip of the beginning BBC's "No Matter What" plus other songs on the CD.
