It Depends.....alot Of Miami Stuff Was Good...So Was NY.....They Were Both Evenly Good To A Certain Point.
But....Not Because Im From The Bronx...But I Have To Go With NY Style...It Had More Of A RAW Sound And It Was Just Good I Cant Really Explain It...
 
Living in NY it's hard not to be bias at all...with that being said...I must go with my heart and say NY...no question in my mind. It has a more slammin, in your face sort of sound to it. Some Florida is slammin...but not nearly as much...NY examples: Rhingo-"Without your love"....Robbie "Girl I need you"..... can it get more slammin than that??!! I dont think so!! So much of the typical stuff (mic mac...cutting...high power...ligosa....onna roll..etc) speaks for itself....😛 THERE AIN'T NO EDITS LIKE THOSE FROM NY FREESTYLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tony Garcia..Carlos Berrios..Michael Kidd Gomez...Albert Cabrerra...I mean come on!!
 
I see both points of view 1st hand....

I am an ex-New Yorker now living in Florida! I personally prefer to listen to Freestyle...PERIOD! NY style is true dance music & has a harder edge, making it preferable to hear at a club, but Miami style has some hooks NY Freestyle cannot duplicate! Take K7's 'Passion'. NY beats simply CANNOT make that track any better! Same for 'I'm The One' by Nyasia, the Miami mix is WAY better than the other mixes on the record.

I honestly cannot say one is BETTER than the other. Good thread.
 
I love both styles. But I have to say that NY takes it by a mile. I guess it i cos all of the edits plus NY is the home of Freestyle. That's just like saying who's style is the best in House. Chicago is the home & nobody will ever take the crown from them.
 
new york style is by far much better than florida. i mean, lets compare......stevie b to george lamond...... george wins had down. linear to tka: tka wins. ny style all the way!

I'm a true Floridian..but I must say New York style
by far beats Miami style!...You New Yorkers just come out with the
better shhhhttt...you know what I'm sayin'????
