As for albums it's not worth anyone putting an album out right now, with little to no sales happening on comps and albums totals , the labels are loosing more money than gaining.

It's naive (did i spell that right) for artists to think that they will get an album out and they are done. When an album comes out, that's when the work starts.
If an album comes out, and doesn't sell, it makes the artist look pretty bad. Unfortunetly this happened to Joee with his album, from my understanding selling less than 1000 units (from last soundscan that i recieved), even at 9.99 the cd didn't sell. With Joee being such a sound fixture in the dance/freestyle community, and backed by Universal, he should have sold more!! It's happened with other locals but that's for another day.
I bought the album, and it's not bad at all!! So it's not the quality of the album vs the failing industry.
Even comp sales are down BIG TIME, for fun i did some homework, and I was blown away with the #'s from even last year to now. If i was in school, and i wanted to waste my time i would put this into a visual for you guys, bottom line, no point!
Someone please correct me if i'm wrong.

I can't stand the idea of dance/freestyle industry going down. I buy CDs, try going to concerts, and it doesn't seem enough. Seems like it will never be enough.
You told me we need a big shot to help us out... but even if someone like JLo or Brittney do a freestyle/euro song, it'll be known as Pop Princess's dance track... or JLo's track... you just cannot put one and one together. Madonna repeatedly coming out with dance hits, but no one really thinks of them as that... but as Madonna's songs... which again, doesn't help the industry a damn bit.
I'm tired of proving to my friends that Freestyle is not a non-talented music genre, and that euro is just beats, and nothing else to it. Numerous times I've gotten into these nasty discussions with people, who don't seem to get convinced and give our music a try. It's all about hip-hop right now.
And I hate hip-hop..... grinders can go to hell, it's all about the BEATZ!

i bought joee's last cd and well it was alrite mostly cuz it had does tat make u happy, i dont believe u and the reprise of angel since i love those songs to me the cd did alrite and yeah that is really surprising that joee didnt do better....
I can get an updated scan of the cd just to be sure, but i don't imagine the numbers were through the roof.
Sexy, what i meant was that more of the "big players" would have to make sounds that are similiar to freestyle in order for any chance of it breaking into the mainstream the way that we all want it to be.
I buy all the cd's and comps, then if i don't like them i give them away. I don't have space for cd's i don't listen to, but at least i can say i support where i can.
