Just wanted to drop everyone a note that we are almost done with Rockells 2nd single from the new album, "Instant Pleasure." It's going to be "What U Did 2 Me." Remixes are being done by Jonathan Peters & Lenny "Linus" Douglas. I don't have a date yet but it should be soon.

New single

Hello John,

This is a good news! Especially to see Lenny on this project. He is really talented.

Any future projects for the Rockell Freestyle songs?

Thank you in advance for the information.

See ya.

Rockell's biggest success in this area (NJ) has been with freestyle. When are we gonna see "Tears" released as a single? It was played during Johnny Budz's mix show (hosted by Judy Torres) and Judy said on air that a ton of calls came in to find out who sang that song and what the title was.

Paz Y Bien:

I'm so glad to hear that you peeps will be dropin' a new single! I really believe that "What U Did 2 Me" is the Radio cut of the record!!

I already started banging it from street date; sorry. Can't wait to get the Remixes, by the way, Lenny got beat for Days Ese!! I feel that Lenny will become one of the Top Freestyle Remix / Producers for the new skool.

One other thing, can I get a picture of Rockell Too????

Personally, and this is my opinion, Jonathon Peters sucks as a remixer. I am sure there will be no new Freestyle mixes for this track. "Tears" should have been the next single. The Dance was alright and in my opinion again, is her weakest release to date.

I think that Tears is off the hook!! But, the Truth is that there are lots of Freestyle Fans would of gone out a bought "Tears". But, "What U Did 2 Me" is a more of a Dance Friendly for the Non Freestyle fans." A lot more people hate the sound than Like it.

Just ask a Non Freestyle Listener what jam he likes better, and I'm talking about someone that Listen to Dance Music. Like KTU Listeners, Wild 9.49 Listeners, and yes The Station that Plays the most Freestyle Listeners Power 105 in Sac Town.

Like I said, "Tears" is off the hook, but I really can't see it having a long Life at Radio on a national leavel.

yo D, i agree with u on "Tears" bro...however I think I more progressive and house remixes to "Tears" would do works for the song! I think Jonathon Peters is a good remixer as well....He was one of the remixers I thought should do a remix on her tracks and it's happenin.....can't wait to har these remixes Lenny's stuff is PHAT!

There is no doubt that "Tears" is a great record and will one day be a great single. We had a tough choice to make and we decided to go with "What U Did 2 Me" for a number of reasons. The freestyle mixes are being done by Lenny Douglas. Hopefully everyone will show their love and support for Rockell when the single drops. For the person who asked about the album, yes it's out and it's called, "Instant Pleasure."

Thank you,

"What U Did 2 Me" is an alright song. I would love to hear a Freestyle mix of it. The song sounds really too hectic to appeal to a lot of people. The radio version should be remixed to be more Freestyle or more House or more Euro, not some weird dance compromise.

"The Dance" was really a wonderfully-written song by itself. I felt that the Hex Hector production was pretty weak considering all the great songs he's produced. He produced/remixed "Sexual" by Amber which was so energizing.

I, myself, would love to hear "Say You'll Be Mine" because it is so chillin' and so pretty and is pop enough.
