I'm not sure if any of you have heard these songs but there are a lot of European artists remaking old school songs some are freestyle classics or R&B hits that have been remixed with a freestyle/break beat or trance beat:

"I would die 4 U" Space Cowboy *old Prince hit with a breakbeat/trance beat

"Just be good to me" Zodiac *Has a beat similar to Gigi D'Agostino's hit.

"I.O.U." Phonkillaz

"Tell it to my heart" Kelly Llorenna *Taylor Danes classic hit with a trance twist to it

"I can't wait" Ladies First *Nu Shooz classic hit with a 2-step beat

"Beacuse I love you" Digital Rockers *Stevie B's classic hit

"Changes(breakbeat mix)" Tupac

"Sweet Dreams" Alex Butcher *Euryhthmics(However you spell it)😉 hit done with a breakbeat/trance twist

"Let the music play 2002" Shannon *Yes someone remixed it again

"Don't break my heart 2002" DJs @ Work

That's all that I can think of right now that are out currently or within that last few months. Do you know any others?

And you guys wonder why Freestyle has gone straight down the crapper!
 
I'm sorry but could someone explain to me why is a thing covering a freestyle song?

I admit it could never be better than the original but it will put some money into the hands of the writers And it will shine attention back onto the original.
 
I meant to say why is it such a bad thing to cover a freestyle song....
 
Just the other day I heard a trance version of "Show Me" and it wasn't even Angel singing...how pathetic 🙄

meaning if theres a member or member of a group doing a remix
i just don't know

If I recall correctly Fr3estyleking Nu Image is still Nu Image and Troy was not part of it, I think this was one of the incident that Tony G of Nu Image was having problems, because is still them just having music being over play extra vocals..no changes, I think Tony can clarified this better when he read this. Also Tolga was the producer of the song by Jeremy "All Alone", now I don't know if he re did the vocals......Remakes are good, but only if you can 1. make it better (Which sometimes it can't be touch) or 2. come close to it. Like one remake I consider better then the original was Nocera's "Summer Time", Corina did better the the original, but that doesn't take the tittle of the original artists. 2nd Good remake "Died In Youe Arms" by intonation feat. Joee, that was good. Now mistake well "With or without you" originally by U2 remade by Case Closed sorry, but this was bad. Another 2 that I have in mind I rather not say, but remaking songs from Selena was a very bad idea.......but then again those are my opinions, what you think Rhoq?
 
The version of "TEARS IN MY EYES" by Troy that was featured on Ventura International Records' MAXIMUM FREESTYLE, VOL. 3 violate the songs' copyright. The original vocal by Nu Image was used and thrown over a new track without permission. This sparked a legal battle between Tony G and Atilla at Ventura International. In the end, MAXIMUM FREESTYLE, VOL. 3 was pulled from stores because of the problems with the copyrights.

Personally, I think Tolga's version of "ALL ALONE" was great and I actually like it better than the one he originally produced for Jeremy.

Also the songs by Intrepid, Andre, Kristina, Amrose and Zelancia were all sung by Andrea Martin (also featured on Maximum 3 as Andrea)...

We all know how I feel about remakes. I really don't want to go there again, but I will list my top 10 favorite Freestyle remakes (in no specific order)...

1. CHERISH - Clear Touch
2. THE PROMISE - Orlando
3. SEPARATE WAYS - Jenni
4. DO YOU BELIEVE IN LOVE - Fred Nice
5. DIED IN YOUR ARMS - Intonation feat. Joee

Why remake a song when they can focus all of their "creative energy" on recording a completely original masterpiece???
