here are some alternates

I rather buy the American Audio Pro Scratch 2 (for tabletops). They are better than the Pro Scratch 1

For dual Decks, I recommend the CDN88 by Numark (choice of Red and Black) or the Gemini CDX-2000 (Same features as the CDN88's but at a lower price (PSSL.com has them at $699.99 each))

FYI - Pioneer CDJ1000's are the Sh!t... I have a set that I use on the road when I travel and gig, and they are by far the best.

Very easy to use, reliable, fast to load, and are very light in a case as compared to lugging around 2 heave @ss 1200's.
Only downfall is they are like 1000 a piece.

try ebay. thats where I got mine.

🙂

I tried the CDJ 1000, and I was a bit disappointed with the jog wheel. It should be a bit looser in order to exactly reproduce the turntable wheel movement. Same case for the CDJ 800s.

As for the dual decks. I tried the new Denon deck. In this case, the jog wheels are too loose for control. I gave it a backspin at the DJ shop in my town, and it kept spinning for 14 seconds, when it should had stopped about 10 seconds earlier.

About the Gemini CMX-3000, great handling, exact duplication of the turntable wheel, but it was lacking effect features that the CDN 88 has. That was why I chose the Numark CDN 88 (there's a CDN 90 available now). A well spended $734.99 ($699.99 + $35 in MA sales tax).
