I finally had the opportunity to check my mail this morning (sorry it took so long)...I received packages from both Victor Vega and Fernanda (formerly known as Cherée) and all 4 songs contained on these discs are great!

We’ll start with Fernanda’s CD

“PORQUE LA VIDA ES ASI” - I first heard this song on Labor Day when Fernanda performed this song at Caramello’s Freestyle Showcase at Roberto Clemente State Park in Bronx, NY. Soon to be released on Freddy Lopez’s E.L.I. Records, this track has an amazing Old School feel. This is the way that Freestyle is supposed to be and Fernanda’s voice has never been better!

“ALL I WANT TO KNOW” – A nice R&B song with enough attitude to satisfy the “urban” market and a pop feel to attract the TRL generation. The song is very strong and very good. It is very well produced and on par with any record by Christina Aguilera or Pink. Who knew that Fernanda had some rhyming skills?!?! She breaks into a very tight rap during the middle break!!! (At least I think it’s Fernanda).

“NOW I KNOW” (duet with Victor Vega) – A very nice ballad. Victor and Fernanda compliment each other beautifully. It kind of reminds me of the George LaMond/Brenda K. Starr days.

(On the CD Fernanda sent to me, there is a Radio Mix of “ALL I WANT TO KNOW” that excludes the dialog and rap).

The Victor Vega CD contains 3 versions of the Latin-Pop song “WHO WOULD HAVE EVER THOUGHT” from his upcoming album: No Debo Quererte.

The first version is the original mix. The song is very similar to recent releases by former Freestyle artist and current Latin-Pop sensation Marc Anthony. Victor’s vocals are very smooth and similar in style to Marc’s. The song is very strong with a Freestyle feel.

The second version is labeled as the Remix. While maintaining the same tempo as the original track, this version features a darker sound and a house beat that almost resembles beats you might find on a dancehall-reggae song. Both this remix and the original version are great to listen to!

As an added bonus, Victor also included the acappella vocal as the third version.

OMG!! Thank You Rhoq!!!

Wow Rhoq! You gave all my songs positive review and I feel really greatful. I love it when people are honest with me and of course anyone that knows me knows that I enjoy critizism because it only makes me become a better person, not worse. Here are the stories behind each song.

1. "Por Que La Vida Es Asi" was produced by Freddy Lopez, Artie Rodriguez and Carlos Berrios (After Dark Production). The song was written by Freddy Lopez (A true personal story) back when he was only 17 years old. This was the first song that I was ever allow to do it my way. The freedom to sing it from the heart, the way a song should be sang. *This song is about losing a sister to a car accident and I'm asking God 'Why does life have to be this way, so unfair. Why do good people have to suffer and pay'*. So I hope everyone likes the song, it's in Spanish but I'm working on the English version so that everyone can enjoy and appreciate the song.

2. "All I Want To Know" was produced by Artie Rodriguez and was written by Artie and myself. This song was actually produced some 3 or more years ago. I never pursued the song further because someone very close to me that meant the world put the song down so I gave up on the song until Victor Vega got a hold of it. He insisted on allowing people to hear the song and convienced me on releasing the song again. Since then I've got nothing more than positive feedback. Thanks Victor for your persistence with the song, if it becomes a hit I owe it to you. *This song is about a girl who is dating a guy who she believes is a player (so her friends say) and basically she wants to know if it's true. That she is not just another one of his games.* The song does have an R&B sound, and Artie did a great job with the music. So if you want to catch a glimps of the song, just go to my website at www.victorvegaonline.com/fernanda and enjoy.

3. "Now I Know" was produced by Artie Rodriguez and I wrote that song back in 1992. The song is a love song and I purposely wrote it to be sang bewteen two people. I wrote this song back in 92 thinking about a perfert theme song for a Movie (A possible love story). Again after Victor heard it, he insisted on recording it and the song came out wonderful. We sound great together and Victor is an exceptional singer and very talented too. So go visit my website to catch a glimps of this song too.

Thanks Rhoq, I really appreciate it. Thanks CF for all of your support and for making my comeback to be more acceptable. God Bless all!!😉
