I am in Calgary (Alberta) Canada. My record pool gets most ZYX 12"'s and cd releases. I agree with you, just like most record companies, some of the compilations are crap and a few are very decent.

Freestyle vol.15 will be released on ZYX Music the 29th of october for the German market.

And Peter is right, this series of comp sucks!!! 🙁
Maybe this new volume will be better...I said "maybe"!!!!

Thay may be true, but at $17CAD for the cd, it is still cheaper then getting the cd singles individually for the few good tracks that are on it.

Hi guys!!

I'm also the opinion that the ZYX samplers are a big shit. The first few volumes, it was quite good, but then it became popular and in the following volumes ZYX only wantet to get mony and put up many bad songs. Of course, there are 3 or 4 songs that are great, but the rest is all shit.
I love freestyle by Johnny O, Stevie B, Elissa, Angelina, Jossette, and even Irene, but you find only very few songs of them on the ZYX (of some of the Artists you find even nothing), the rest are always german Acts, and most of them (like Smash, Officer, Double Effect, Love In Motion,...) sounds always the same. Always the same bassline and background melody 🙁 I don't want to say that the whole german freestyle is bad, there are also some good Artists and songs like Freestyle Project, Body Base, Free System (above all "Angel" and "Little Love" 😀 ), but there are many bad Artists, too.

So, nothing for bad, keep the real freestyle-beat alive
 
I already heard the Vol 15.....it´s one of da shit Sampler again !!!

Some of the German Prod. like Ceres.....are old ones.....

for all of you, when you like German Freestyle try to get your hands on the 100 % Freestyle Sampler on Trendline Rec.
some songs sounds similar like many Canadian Productions....
