I'm 95% agree, not 100%.
Why Because I will say that "Most of " new Freestyle does suck because sometimes you can find one good song per compilation. The last Freestyle track from Ashley on "Bangin Beats vol.2" is a perfect example. :hpound
But it's true, it is extremely rare to find something good!

ashely was the only good song on bangin beats 2??? did u get the same cd as everyone else? ashleys song was good, but there were at least 8 other good new freestyle tracks on that cd!!

I have to disagree on that one becasue Ashley has done sum better stuff in the past, thou I am not say that her track was bad it just seem to easy for her thats all, her track along with everyones eles is hott that whole comp is off the hook, I am not saying that becasue I am on it as well, we all do our part to push our stuff out Ashley is wonderful when it comes down to promoting herself I give her that and as well we should all do the same that way people get so tired of it but they end up lovin it at the end, Same thing with NU IMage they are everyday and whatever moment they can get to post up everything and there on here like flys to shyt when it comes to promotion and thats how u need to be, myself I do my part to push myself out there as well Pure trend u keep doing the same do whatever it takes to make ursefl known , U got a hott track as well ,and as well for any upcoming artist, do ur thang to show people this is how u do it, and get ou thtere as best as u can.

And remember BE TEH BETTER MAN AND EXCPET THE CRITIZiSM trust me I know, all it doesnt is make things better for u, if ur not man enough to except then maybe u shouldnt continue to sing.

And for the record, I'm a huge NU IMAGE supporter, always has been. Is that correct Tony? And I did show support for Ashley bringing her down to Philly. There were other artist who wanted to perform at the shows down here, and I have to be honest I couldn't let them even though they were willing to do it for FREE!!! I had to put people on stage who deserved to be there. People who's music was quality and had real drvie to be in the business. I give NU Image big props as they even had merch to sell. That says alot!

As I sit back and ponder the idle posts, I didn't say all new freestyle, but ALOT of it does suck. I'm not going to waste my time writing reviews about everyones shit, this is not DMA. I agree, I may be harsh at times, but c'mon the **** on. Am I really saying something that holds no one else believes??? I can't believe some of the people who post here. You got no clue!

i just think people got lazy and expect things to just happen for them thats all, producers got lazy on the tracks no one can barely right a song and cant even hold a note, and the only reason why producers still do music, is becasue MONEY TALKS, as long as money is coming there way they dont care who wants to sing and if they can sing or not, thats way new skool is the way it is now, its not just one things its a lot of things. People like Ashlet and NU IMage, Manny and a few other do there thing cause they have people to back them up not everyone does just certain poeple with the right skill seem to be at the right place at the right time and that is why they continue to do music. I am agreeing iwth a lot of the new skool stuff is not good, shyt even sum of my stuff aint all that good, but I will keep on keepin on until I get my time to shine, jsut like everyone else should be doing go as far as u can ,

Except the critiziam it will make u a better people and will lean u to learn from ur mistakes! that way ur music turns out to be better, vocally, musically and promotion!

The thing is, people think they need to change the way freestyle sounds, they don't really need to make too many changes, the problem is the production and vocals of alot of the artist for today's "New School" is what is keeping me from listening. Don't get me wrong there was some whacky old school as well, and they should not have gotten playtime either. But if someone or some group wants to make an impact, they need vocals. I don't care how good the music is, bad vocals will destroy the song. A good analogy; when I listen to alot of today's freestyle it's like watching a Black and white only TV, there is no color.

I do have to say Steve has always been a great supporter of Nu Image.
I do understand your view Steve, and know what you're saying.
It's a bit harder for me to state my view because Nu Image are artists and many see it as bashing or hating but before anything else it a true critic perspective. We are not perfect but I do know this much I as well do not feel a lot of the new music and it's only because I just don't feel it and thats the honest truth. If I said otherwise I would be lying and that would be worse.
Then again thats just my opinion and not fact as some see it so I wish all the artists the best in what they do. God Bless and keep moving forward.

First I would like to say that comments like this is what’s hurting
the only freestyle that is out there. I don’t usually post on these type of topics, or get involve in debating on what’s good or bad in the freestyle world, but I will be the first to take this opportunity to thank those fellow freestyle artist that are still doing in it, not only to keep it alive, but for the love. You see Mr.Miami I remember when we only had 1 freestyle site www.freestylenation.com no music, no pics or video just a site were freestyle lovers could comments and stay on top on what’s good in the freestyle world. At that time there was so much love for freestyle music, that fans flew from anywhere in the country just to show their support. Today we are in different times and most major freestyle producers would laugh, if you question them to produce freestyle again. Why you might ask? There’s no money in it. But if you stop and hear the love that came out of those artist vocals, man you could tell they did it for the love. Today the little guys that are still doing freestyle, regardless bad quality, are doing it for the love, reason enough for me to support them and join them. Listen guys, from the bottom of my heart, I’m not here to start a war, what I am here to do, is to tell you that I’m a real freestyle lover. R U? Yes, I understand that there are many freestyle artist out there that need lot’s work. But if you really want to help in the freestyle cost, show your support and love, for those freestyle artists that are paying producers, there hard earned dollars to produce the music that we love. Maybe I shouldn't be so harsh. Maybe people don't want to hear the truth. The truth is what I used to write back in the old Miami Hot Traxx days, the old DMA days, etc... The labels, artist, producers loved what I wrote, as long as it was 1) not about them or 2) promoting their material.

Let me close with this... I heard more trash than decent stuff. I did hear some promise in some of the songs I checked out. I just wish I could get back the 30 minutes of my life of listening to the bad stuff I sat through (and that was only like 15 - 30 snipets).

I'm not anti-freestyle... just anti-bad-freestyle!

I'm sorry to it may hurt, but I completely agree with what you say. Its not the artists though, well sometimes it is, (sometimes the voice is bad) but we had bad some bad freestyle voices in some old school though (rarely though).....I think its the beat and the sound.... I mean,,, it doesnt have any of the quality that was in the 80s. Thats the only reason why i think it sucks....Also, they used to mix everything by hand and now its computer-ed. Another reason there. Also, new school or some of it, massacred and raped the planet rock sound. Bad idea....that beat is played out...You know, i bet songs would be better if they brought back those BANGING drums and beats from the 80s.

Oh well. Some of new school does suck, but i fell for some songs (like Angelique - No Puedo Vivir sin ti and Susan Santiago - Abre tu corazon) Those arent that bad for new school at all...... Though one could argue that those songs are middle school, and not new. Then you have the really bad ones, Synthia Figueroa, and Pure Pleazure that make you go,, WHAT ARE THEY THINKING?????
 
you say stuff about tracks on here sucking.. well what about your compilations that are running at 99cents now... that doesnt compare to the mic mac , artistik comps, or high power or the MIXMASTER productions compilations that are still to this day being requested for by fans... all im saying is dont bash on the freestyle artists that are on here and not able to back it up... becuase i know some of them and they are good people who have the courage and guts to bring this music out...
 
I thank everyone for the compliments and the critics as well.

I actually do write the majority of my material, but I have a few writers I enjoy working with. In addition I own my Own Publishing Company and handle all my own affairs. Ill keep doing my think . Not everyone likes me or my music but Oh well..

Most recently I ve had my Music licensed in Germany By Sony Music. Not too shabby for a new schooler.LOL
