MIAMI,nuff said!
ther are alot of new records coming out around this time.

alot of people on the cutying edge of dance music are influencing alot of 80's retro sounds and infusing them into progressive house.
people like Feix the house cat, green velvet, and many others that the regular freestyle fanatic wont recognize.

But due to the beleife..the freestyle records that will make noise and have been making noise on radio and big room clubs have been those freestyle records that have come out of indipendent production companies and labels that are not related to or out of the already established freestyle community of labels and fans.

the sound continues to evolve and take a turn to more and more freestyle sounding records..if not str8 up freestyle marketed as Trance or dance. Alot coming from Europe or European based labels/production companies or indi u.s. companies picked up by europeans aimed to cross over seas back into the u.s..

At this moment, although the freestyle sound was originally cultivated in New york and miami, at this point it doesnt matter.
these are the songs that could explode globaly and be embraced as new freestyle.

the records i wana shine light on today are:

PIMPSMAKERS "GATES OF OPEN MIND"
-already getting tested on party 93.1 in miami and other stations across the country. Euphoria meets freestyle type beats similar to those of the cover girls records.European female styled vocal.

W.i.T. "Hold me Touch me"
Modernized electro breakz planet rock record. very freestyle, definetley white girl vocal styled (english accented meets cali aerly 80's valley girl). Already making noize in raves and under ground clubs. both electro and altenative style clubs.

felix the House cat "Hollywood/madame hollywood".
already an anthem growing from the undergound altenative clubs that play everything from electro, ebm, dark wave etc.
basic early 80's dance beat meets present day house with dance beat. driven by early 80's freestyle bass lines and melodies.
2 versions. 1. Guy version singing and sounding like a early pet shop bois record. 2. accented female vocal talking over basslines with updated retro keyboard synths.

SELWAY "DiGITAL EMOTION"

Nu-ELECTRO. Hitting hard at the undergound and growing in popularity.
In the tradition of "numbers", hashim, "clear" by cybrotron, mantronic, and magazine 60's "donkey jote(no senor)....this is a nu electro reocrd that will infuse your freestyle mixes and collections.
Seductive female vocals repeating in SPANISH ,Emocion digital,
followed by english accented Vocodered style male vocals.

alot of elements are found in these records that were present in the time the first earlier freestyle records apeared. lots of electro and dance beats with freestyle basslines and spanish and english accents(london) on the records.

you would think they were taking you back to the days of "iou" and "one more shot"...but these are not reacords from your strugling mom and pop "lets bring freestyle back" type labels...

..these are already coming from top notch labels in europe and the us and already changing the undergound world of altrenative dance and the world of undergound progressive house.

Look out for em..request them at the club.....REQUEST THEM AT THE RADIO!!!!!!!

Hi Jon,

I never heard about the songs you mentioned on your thread. Could you give us more information as for the instance the label, the country, etc?

Here in Europe, and especially in Trance, there is a bunch of productions/producers/remixers who include/mixes Breakbeat/Electro Freestyle/Planet Rock beat on their songs or set. And I can tell you that it's wonderful especially when you are dancing!!!

jon pito waddup!
those songs you mentioned were huge in the underground last year in NY. the sound here is called ELECTROCLASH and some of the groups are W.I.T.,MISS KITTEN,AVENUE D, FELIX DA HOUSECAT, TIGA, FISCHERSPOONER,LADYTRON,PEACHES. i always go to this club called luxx in brooklyn on saturdays that plays it all night. plus i seen acts like W.I.T. perform there a few times. a lot of freestyle and house heads i know dont like it but i love it, it's my new fave music.
jon pito check out W.I.T.'s album which came out last week. by the way they will be at the winter music conference at crobar along with dj larry tee for an electroclash party. i will also be there so lets hook up. e-mail me bro

P.S. CHECK OUT "DO I LOOK LIKE A SLUT" BY AVENUE D
THATS THE HOT SLUT TRACK RIGHT THERE!

MARLON!!!

yup thats right. some of the stuff has been out and playing in the underground.
man, you saw w.i.t. perform? you B*tch, lol.

i heard about the album and plan to get my hands on it. alot of stuff is coming out and resurfacing.

to be honest..alot alot of it is coming out of the goth and altenative clubs first. is that the format of the club your talking about also? and thats in new york. that is a good sign.

over here its all either progressive house na dtrance and breaks (happy breaks) or electroclash, ebm, darkwave, synth pop, future pop, electro and breaks (dark breaks).
either way its all a mixture of electro funk and freestyle mixed with all kinds of stuff.the breaks sound is resufacing everywhere.

i love thos records that sound like depesh mode over breaks.
damn.
over here is the same thing. they dont like em. they call em the new cha cha records or dance records..becouse mainly its the latin kids here that go crazy for em, aopsed to the others who like more of the agressive stuff. its funny how everything is crossing over to someone elses scene.
so mucH unity in the undergound.
its like all the 80's combined under one roof, but its a new generation and continuation.everyone is there, except for freestyle.
but thats soon to change. very soon.
actually they already started playing some darker freestyl records inthe miami scene.some old skool stuff...stuff that only people like FREESTYLE KRIS would know, lol.

im so glad that im not alone and im definetly not surprised to kno wthat your out there in the front lines.

by the way whets up with that documentary of yours
and when the hell are you going to get into the industry and work for or creat a label.

or do i have to do all this from miami, cuz your new yorker ass cant handle it.

Oh, im sorry....your from hieleah,miami arent you,lol.
when you bringing your ass home?

im down for crobar!!!! im also....bro you gata go with me to all the break parties too.

Miss kitten, i saw that lady at crobar too, she so old. must of been 90 with bleached bklonde hair, pink lipstick, feather boa gown (lime), and huge diomond hoop earings. she was smoking up a storm and saying "F*ck this and that" ever ten minutes.

man there is alot going on, lots of changes, lots of good things.
and i know that withing time ist all going to invade this scene.

reminds me of that house song........what was it...

about that guys standing inline at a club talking about "EXCUSE ME!!!...OH MY GOD, LOOK AT THAT GUY WITH THE GREEN HAIR! HE CAME OVER TO ME TALKING ABOUT HOUSE MUSIC, I TOLD HIM I DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS!!!"

But you know now, its all the freestyle peeps with the green hair and pearcings now.

puerto-punk breakers!!!

oh also..im in the middle of my mess getting the taishan ball party going this year. it will be the second anual...

if you like all that electroclash and breaks and 80's and classic freestyle and house (gurl im talking about str8 up hard cunty house!!!).

im looking at this club you might know of,lol. it has a big penis over the dance floor on lincoln road, lol.

(YES I SAID IT!!!!)

if all goese well, jojo infiniti or kitty meow might be draged into this.

can you imagine jojo infinity or kitty meow at a freestyle breaks party.

this freestyle world has no idea what is about to happen.

e-mail me JONPITO75@hotmail.com
i gata make a cd for you too.

ok, you hiped me up so hard right now....im so excited..im going to make a song about it,lol. no really i have to for sandee, lol.

this years WMC is going to be so weird for many. the world is chnaging and it will be noticable this year.

peace

JONPITO

we are her talking about miss kitty (kitten), everyone is like Who?

"DJ PLAY THE DEJOUVUE, LIKE WE WERE IN 82!!"

"AND MAYBE ONE DAY YOU CAN VISIT ME AT MY MANSION ON A BIG HILL YOU KNOW,
like the 9-0-2-1-0!!!!!!!!!!!!"

JONPITO!!

JON !
yeah ELECTROCLASH is huge over here in the underground. it's all i been listening to since last summer. luxx is the happening spot in brooklyn where i always go. all cool electroclash kids bumpin' to the electro beatz!. and no it has nothing to do with the goth scene! hell nooooooo. no goths! it's all 80's inspired style (kraftwerk, planet patrol)
miss kitten is hot yo, i love her, she's been here a few times. that song "madame hollywood" by her and felix da housecat was one of my faves! (9-0-2-1) i got the W.I.T. album last week and it's cute! if u cant find it u can order it at electroclash.com
it will give you all the info on the winter music electro parties. i ill be there for the W.I.T. party with dj larry tee (from luxx). tell me that song by w.i.t. "hold me, touch me" doesnt sound like freestyle? wait to u hear avenue d "do i look like a slut", thats the sh*T!
i already made u a cd with nothing but electroclash hits....
my boy lazaro in miami has an electroclash night at revolver, check it out. try to get the china dolls into the style! anyway try to get heads into it down there and check out the new URB magazine, it has electroclash djs like felix, tiga and dj hell.

MARLON!!

"Do I look like a slut"...we were dancing and tripin to that last nite. its like a white version of letrim, lol. she talks about "my daisy dukes..."lol.

man tour d'france sounds so sweet next to that or domanitrix sleeps tonight. and actually thats how they mix in all the electro freestyle records with electro clash. that is our scene now. the breaks and freestytle people now are into this.

miami is diferent...over here we know its str8 up..all electrofunk and freestyle and ..its the continuation of where breaks left off ,but seen cooler. that exactly what it is. "Hold me, me love me" is str8 up freestyle. However to hear this you have to share the club with Goth people in miami. its like every body had to wait their turn to listen to their grooves. but i love all of it.

everything is like a new early 80's. you have raver kids, mixing with goths, mixing with gay kids, mixing with everything.

last nite we went off big time to Fischerspooner. talk about electro and bass and freestyle beats.
everybody started breakdancing and they turned on the black light..it was so awsome!!!!!

(by the way..i left a post here the other day asking djs if anyone was mixing in Fisher spooner with their break sets.............ITS STILL BLANK!!!NOBODY KNOWS ABOUT IT, and this is on MINISTRY OF SOUND!!)

anyway..
im ahead of you!!

we go to revolver (soho lounge on friday........i already talked to (the owners J&J)...so d'luna will soon perform there on a friday soon.
the best part about it..the breaks crews all go there too.beta bodega and everyone else. we wana get all the electro clash and breaks people together under one nite.

No doubt about it....whatever the sound....whether they called it trip hop, acid phunk, nu electro, breaks or now electro clash.........its the hotest thing right now..and they owe it all to electro funk and freestyle.
(however..freestyle people need to represent more. we freestyle heads have to go to goth and alternative clubs to hear this in miami. soon they are going to have to go to freestyle nites to hear the electro and freestyle records that they cant provide. the way its suposed to be done!!)

no matter what its called.....this is the scene where new freestyle acts will rise out of. this is the scene..cuz its actually cool from the way of dress, totaly undergound attitude.
what the freestyle scene lacked ,is all there.

also..im ahead of you....im working wit others on d'lunas new record called "Where are you/who are you".
its exactly going to be a freestyle/breaks/electroclash record.

after thinking things through..we plan to sell it to a eurpean label. we already have offers for it and it isnt even done, lol.

D'luna the china doll isnt alone........remeber i needed to find a scene and a whole new image for another artist.

this is the perfect place for SANDEE to rise up from.

and remeber...she was the original puerto punk breaker girl from the origional expose. when she had the riped clothes, neon colors, punk hair,etc..............she will feel right at home!!!.

i have both a hag from today and a hag from years back.
im excited!!!

I was told that breaks and early 80's influenced music was not big in new yorks undergound. that it was only house.

for the same reason i didnt go to new york for a show.

we knew about freestyle shows..but never reallyt done one cuz its all old skool format events. maybe one or 2 new artist with an old format song.

now im looking at it as a whole new thing.
i wan go to new york and perfowm at an electroclash/breaks/80's nite.

Im loughing, cuz they always downplayed the freestyle sound.
now everyone is on its D*ck. and watch..after winter nsuic conference...everyone is going to run and jump on it..especailly the nay sayers.

Now i really cant wait for the day that all this, with the sound and new artist all have no choice but to invade the remaining established freestyle scene.
and there is nothing they can say or do about it.
You cant fight evolution.

iknow now for sure..our day will soon come.

JONPITO

thank B

they have no clue whats abou to hit em.
