I read in another site about a new dance radio station coming soon to new york!

Could this be true??

Anybody else read or hear about this??

I dont know anything about that, but it could be cool. Give KTU some competition

that would be great!!! interesting thing is that on long island, KTU has a 1.8 ratings and WBLI has a 5.6, the highest on the island! KTU better shape up!!

FINALLY IF IT'S TRUE. SOMEONE WILL PUT AN END TO KTU'S A$$HOLE CAREER. THEY ARE REALLY THE WORST STATION I EVER HEARD

why isn't WBLI clearly heard in Queens ?? There are only certain sectors that pick it up well.

maybe KTU knows already, thats why they been adding a lot of new dance songs lately...right?!? has anyone noticed?

if a new dance station comes in, then freestyle could likely leave the NYC airwaves. KTU might suck at times, but appreciate what you got. if a new dance station comes in they will play more club music and little freestyle. KTU is a unique station, you may hate it at times, but its much better than many of the other dance stations out there if you are a freestyle fan, for example Energy in Chicago plays very little freestyle at all, and if a new station does come out to compete with KTU, then KTU may go more in a pop, or hiphop, r&b emphasis. or they might just keep eliminating freestyle.

Carefreestyler, you have a point. There's both good and bad to giving KTU competition. Plus if there is a new station, wouldn't you say the chances of it being owned by Clear Channel are pretty high? So eventually the same sh*t will happen. If a new station comes, fine. But since its not definate, then we should all just keep with the letters and emails to KTU. Also, one of my friends works for the station, and if a new station comes in and totally shuts KTU down, then his @ss will be out a job and I'll have to listen to him complain, so let's avoid that. LOL....j/k....hun, you know I'm there for ya always!!

not really. they dont own much in new york city, so why give themselves competition? i just looked at the 40 highest rated statiosn in NYC and they only own 6, 2 of them are top 40.
