I don't believe bootlegging will ever disappear either. However, shame on every person who does it. Especially those who don't consider getting their music any other way! 😡

anthony, you and i can agree on how important it is to us to have the original in our hand. its not the monetary value of it but its just the thrill of owning an original!

Why the hell are you going to BURN it..I can understand if there are people who cannot get it for some damn reason...But dont BURN a CD you can BUY in a store near you..:rolleyes...There is burning maybe a SONG..which I do from time to time cause I cant find some rare Freestyle songs, especially as a single..But burn a cd?..LOL..whateverrrr

Crystal, just about everybody i know "burns" cds. its a sad fact but the most common response i get is that cd prices are so expensive and they just dont have the time to go out where as they can easily go in the net and burn thier own copies.

the big guys can afford to hire attorneys and spend money on anit-copying devices in their cds but it hurts the small, struggling companies.

No no NOOOO..I can understand if someone is going to do that if they dont have the MONEY to..But im sorry to say this kenny..But a lot of poeple that I know...Doesnt even have an excuse when they burn the CDs..Its called being cheap and lazy. But as I said before..I can understand if SOME people can not get the CD ne other way. Im not hating...But its the truth..You can burn Cds all you want..But if you can buy it..come on now.

I actually saw a commercial for Vic Latino's cd last night on MTV2. It was pretty cool. They played some of the freestyle sounding songs and were showing Vic Latino in a radio studio. I don't remember too much else. I was pretty drunk.

I don't have Vic Latino's cd, but I have Johhny Budz's and it is good!

I'm getting a little tired of the 80's remakes getting attention though. How about some original dance music?

I agree that if you burn a cd from the net instead of buying it, your pretty damn cheap.

Spend your cash buying burning equipment and programs, blank cds and holders, and labels and such, and then gyp the artists giving you the music. Cheap, cheap, cheap, cheap, cheap.

Chuck, i agree with you somewhat there.

Alot of DJ's depend on "free music" so they can keep up with the rest of the music world. DJ's dont make an exceptionally large sum of money to support the music world by buying new music all the time. I know alot of DJ's that depend on "burning" music off the net to keep up with the demand and to keep everyone satisified.

To be honest, I don't mind burning songs, as long as it's a temporary thing.

Example, I burned Eyra Gail's "Heaven" for the Johnny Budz freestyle mix. However, when it was released, I bought the cd single. And I NEVER sell the stuff I burn. It's for personal use only.

As for the djs (and this is my opinion only) once they've gotten paid for their gig, they should spend some of their new found money to update their collection. Maybe by supporting some of the artists that they played to get the gig in the first place.

again, chuck, your right but its a long and windey road for all djs. there are many options availible but when it comes to free music, the DJ will jump on it!

its the general population we have to convince about the evil of "burning".

...and the general population just doesn't care! 🙁 They will continue to burn for as long as they can. If only everything was traced back and people had to pay $5 for every song they burned off the net. 😉 I can proudly say I wouldn't owe a dime 🙂
