Hey dj dru, do you have the full length cds from Synthia, Willie or Freeze? If you don't, I recommend them. You could try contacting Willie to see if he still has copies of them for sale.

I have some material for vol 4 - 5. I would like to work on it as well. This way, they get a different flavor. If I can't work on it with you then let me know??????DJ LEGEND (Philly)Old School From The Beginning.

bought mine at best buy 14.99 second bad boy joe is a great DJ freestyle or house his mixes have a life of there own i also have other old skool mixes from other dj's and there ok but not as good as bad boy
and as far as chuck is concerned he knows his stuff big time

Dear DJlegendphilly, Thank you for your interest in our next volume and for your very generous offer. It is absolutely true...that by featuring another DJ's mix (yours for instance)on our project would definitely change the feel of the c.d. But our focus, however, is to in large part, to build up the "Bad Boy Joe" brand recognition.

In order to do this we need to maintain a certain consistency in our releases to insure that customers will always know what to expect when they purchase one of our products. We certainly understand that not everyone digs Joe's high energy, multi-edit style of mixing...and no DJ can ever hope to please everyone. But due to the fact that Joe's unique style has proven that there are plenty of fans that do (ie. Louie DeVito's CD's have sold over 1 million copies..which Joe does most of the mixing & production)...along with his own growing fan-base for our Freestyle Megamix & Ultimate House Megamix CD series...we must maintain our same formula in this VERY UNCERTAIN music marketplace.

My suggestion to you would be to release a series under your own name. Remember...there is always room for competition...and your own style may set you apart from everyone else's. If you have any questions in how to pursue this...don't hesitate to write me.

Sincerely,
Gene Rombola

Ok guys, someone that you would not think of as being freestyle but had some killer songs in the late 90's is FRANCE JOLI.

The famous DJ Junior Vasquez remixed two of her songs "Touch" and "Breakaway" that had major air play here in NYC, KTU radio station being one of the stations play her music. They defiantly had some PROGRESSIVE FREESTYLE beats to them for the late 90's freestyle.

Just in case you still don't remember her, this is the girl that brought you "Come To Me" and "Heart To Break The Heart" in the late 70's and early 80's.

She is currently working on new material and to top it all off legendary producer, songwriter, mixer of EXPOSE' fame Lewis Martinee is producing the singles. So you know it's going to be slamming.

BAD BOY JOE, here is Lewis Martinee's website www.lewismartinee.com

He also has new freestyle song's by China Doll and Yohanny. I have emailed him about your up and coming BAD BOY JOE CD vol.4. I think that you should also contact him about having Ms. Joli on your cd. It would be great exposure (no pun intended "expose") to have your CD cross over into the mainstream. It would be a great marketing tool. So now it will go Freestyle, Dance and Pop. It will put freestyle back in the forefront by having a major artist like France Joli on your CD.

And by "major artist" I mean someone who has alredy had sucess in the mainstream pop market and continues to sell out shows.

And speaking of show's KTU is also having back by popular demand the DISCO BALL 2 in JERSEY again at the Taj. France Joli will be performing, So this will be great exposure for your CD.

Dear Anova81....Thank you for the info on France Joli. I, myself, have always been a huge France Joli fan and I am excited to hear about her new stuff.

Jonpito sent us a copy of China Doll's track for consideration to be used on the first edition of Freestyle's New Generation c.d....and we thought it was hot. However...since it was signed to Jellybean Recordings we were never able to get any response or clearance from anyone there to use it.

Hopefully...Lewis will be able to assist us in securing the new France Joli song. I look forward to contacting him about this.

Thanks again for this terrific news.

Dear Mr. Rombola,

Any new school compilation would not be complete without the sweet harmonies of TRUE VOICES--made up by former members of TKA and Nice & Wild----TRUE VOICES AND NU-IMAGE are in my opinion the 2 best "group" freestlye acts around right now. I believe DJ Mickey Garcia at Freestyle Flashback.com may have their contact info--if you cant reach him,i know for sure theres at least a link to True Voices site on Freestyle Flashback.
