Need song and artist for song that sampled Trinere

Hello-
I am looking for the song/artist that sample's Trinere-They're Playing Our Song and has a lot of the same riffs. Came about 1990-1991 or so and was on a radio stations Freestyle mix. It is a female artist singing.

Starts out with (from Trinere-They're playing our song)
their playing our song, can you hear the music 3X

The song fades into Freestyle's "Dont Stop the Rock" but not sure if that was part of the mix tape or what.

Any ideas who this is and what song?

I vaguely remember, that Trinere had a song called "It's the music". I know I have it somewhere at my mothers house, and I think it kind of sampled some of her other beats. What you wrote for lyrics, definitely sound like Tony Butler's writing.

Thanks for your reply. I did some searching and found that the title you mention was released on Luke Records (Luther Campbell of the 2 Live Crew fame) around 1991. It was only on vinyl.

Can anyone confirm that the above lyrics were from another Trinere track called "Its the Music"?

I was able to confirm this song. It is Trinere - Its the Music. There is an Ultimix version of this song and it is exactly what I was looking for! Thanks!!!

I was 99% sure it was Trinere, I have everything that she did. She is such an awesome person, it makes me feel great that people still dig her music.
